I’ve been going to The OASIS for years whenever I am in town, and I absolutely love how it has grown. At the beginning, I would go for the views and live music in the balcony, but after my recent visit, I see that they have expanded into such an amazing, family oriented place! While I was sad that I couldn’t grab a cocktail and just walk up to the brewery and join all of my friends and family who wanted a beer, the ambiance and views and nice service made up for it! I don’t think I’ll ever visit the area and skip out on going to The OASIS.

I’m going to give this shopping center the benefit of everyone’s doubt, because there was a lot of thought and charm going into its construction and operation.

Firstly, they have built this place on one of the most picturesque views in town. The overlook of Lake Travis belongs on a postcard. They have a special platform that jets out the side that’s perfect for pictures with the lake behind you. The architect who created that really though about the visitors. It’s truly great.

Secondly, the parking game is strong. They not only have a quick park area, but they also have a parking garage. There is ample room for the crowd of cars that the restaurants draw. They also have a shuttle service for peak hours, which is just so nice.

Lastly, I’ll comment is that the quirk and weirdness is totally there and representative of Austin as a whole. They have children’s toys imbedded in the concrete, record covers pasted on the walls, and so many colorful accents that it doesn’t feel like a shopping center. It feels like a kitschy beach boardwalk. I love it!

The Oasis is a beautiful open area spot for shopping, dining, or catching sunsets. The Oasis is nestled in Austin along Lake Travis. I’ve been here a few times as the sun sets and the views off the veranda overlooking Lake Travis are incredible. They have many beautiful homes sitting atop Texas hills and beautiful trees and water, it is all very picturesque. Spending the afternoon at The Oasis is truly a serene experience. I’ve had sunset dinners at The Oasis restaurant and the views from sitting the top of a 450 ft. cliff are just stunning. I definitely would recommend this experience to anyone whose considering stopping by here. There are beautiful memories to be made here!
