33rd Annual Lakeway July 4th Celebration We begin each year with the 8:30 AM Parade down Lakeway Drive. The Pageant at the Lakeway Activity Center. The Grand Marshal Speech follows starting at 10:30 am. This year, food, live entertainment, and fireworks will end the day at the Lakeway City Park beginning at 6:00 pm and ending at 10:00 pm. Lago Vista Firecracker 5K and Fun Run This Fourth of July, why run in the city when you can run in beautiful, senic Lago Vista on the north shore of Lake Travis! The 5K course isn't your typical race: it features gorgeous views of the lake and terrain. There are slight hills, as well as downhill portions. Come experience the running community of Lago Vista, an overlooked, but excellent training ground. After the race, feel free to stay at the lake and enjoy Lago's Fourth of July festivities, held on the shores of Lake Travis. Apart from the run, there is also a Community-wide parade, food, arts and crafts, family games and activities, live music, classic cars and more! 4th Annual Sweatin' Burnt Orange Bike Tour In its fourth year, the Sweatin’ Burnt Orange Bike Tour has established itself as the primary fund raising event for University of Texas Cycling. As both a student organization and competitive sports team, the club seeks to promote the sport of cycling on campus and facilitate rider development. Our team competes at the division I regional and national levels, the highest levels achievable for collegiate cyclists, and provides an introduction to bike racing for many students. Our club also stays involved in the community through bike safety clinics and charity events. The Sweatin’ Burnt Orange Bike Tour will again include routes from 10 to 80 miles weaving through the Texas Hill Country. The 80 mile route includes a stop in the famous Luckenbach Texas and all routes feature challenging hills and beautiful vistas. It’s an incredible Texas riding experience that’ll leave you Sweatin’ Burnt Orange!

18th Annual ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot A chip timed 5 mile run for the most competitive runner and a family friendly event for all ages. The kids will enjoy a giant tent full of games, arts and crafts run by Stepping Stone School that will occupy them as their parents run, or they can also participate in the Stepping Stone School Kids' K. For the less fleet of foot, a one mile walk is also offered. Great post-race snacks and water will be provided, as well as live music. read more

11th Annual Junior Dillo Kid's Run The Junior 'Dillo Kids Run is a certified 1-mile course for kids aged 15 & under. The course is a loop on Auditorium Shores and Riverside Dr. All participants receive a commemorative award & the top three in each age group receive custom medals. Ten age divisions in both male & female categories: 6 & under; single year age groups: 7 years-15 years. In order to be eligible for the age group awards, the child must compete in the 1-Mile Run and wear a timing tag. All participants should pick up their race packet at the Crockett Center, 10601 N.
