Working on the wettest year ? Austin received 64.68 inches of rain way back in 1919–a record that has stood for 97 years, but could be broken this year. By this time in 1919, Austin had received 29.43 inches of rain. Our 2016 rainfall as of June 25th is 38.30 inches. At this rate, with a strong El Nino looking more likely, Austin could end up with over 75 inches of rain this year. Photo by Lenny Tropiano Fly the Sky Drone Productions ... See MoreSee Less

Andrea NationAlso, not to quarrel a bit, but I thought I read that we were out of an El Niño pattern and back to La Niña.

C-Ann StewartIt's too late. I sure miss it. There use to be no jobs after you graduated unless you worked for the State of Texas.

Well LCRA got rid of a lot of water. We're at 682.40, just 1.4 feet above full pool. Almost wish they'd left it at 685 cause we haven't had a spot of rain since. Lord please let us not be starting another drought and start this thing all over again......... ... See MoreSee Less

Louis TruettWith La Niña coming back, we'll likely see a drought back in Texas. Severity of drought is another story since it's a crapshoot of where in Texas get hit the hardest. Hope for tropical system to come through Texas and keep drought from being too severe.

John-Tama BarrowsJust leave the water in the pool. If God wanted the water on the other side he would have put it there.
