The Austin Triathlon
Imagine a world class triathlon held in the front yard of one of the most active and outgoing cities in the US. Imagine a large event with the atmosphere and intimacy of a small hometown race. Imagine biking down the most historic street in Texas. Imagine the fun. That is The AVIA Austin Triathlon. The olympic distance course is a 1500 meter swim, 40 Km bike, and a 10 Km run. The sprint course is a 700 meter swim, 27 Km bike, and 5 Km run. Both events will use the same course. The Olympic distance will complete 3 laps on the bike course, and 2 laps on the run course. The sprint distance will complete 2 laps on the bike course, and 1 lap on the run course.

16th Annual Lake Travis Underwater & Shoreline Cleanup

The Outlaw Trail 100 bike tour features 10, 25, 40, 50, 63 and 100 mile loop courses on county roads through historic Williamson County. Outlaw Trail isn't competitive; it is an opportunity to join cyclists from across Texas for a ride across Williamson County. The 3rd Annual LBJ 100 Bicycle Tour starts on the air strip of the historic LBJ Ranch on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 9:00 AM. Lakeway Wilderness Fun Run & Walk
The start/finish line is near the kiosk at the entrance to Hamilton Greenbelt I across Lohman's from Lakeway Justice Center. Parking is available at the Justice Center and at the Activity Center. Participants may choose to run or walk either 3 miles or 5 miles. The 5 miles course winds through the rolling hills of the HGB II primitive trails along Lake Travis. This fun event offers something for everyone. It is a great opportunity for runners as well as families with kids and dogs to enjoy an outing and explore the beautiful greenbelt trails of Lakeway.

Mellow Johnny's Classic Mountain Bike Race
The mountain bike race at Lance's place in Dripping Springs is about a week out, and there are still a few entries available. Last year, about 700 racers in all categories rode the custom course in the Hill Country. The race is now an official Pro XCT event, and the pro field is just about full. ROT Biker Rally
One of the largest and most well-know motorcycle rallies in the country celebrate its fifteenth year in Austin. Every year ROT attracts over 200,000 motorcycle enthusiasts to Central Texas, creating an economic impact of $36 million dollars for Austin. For four days each summer, Austin is transformed by a sea of steel and a refrain of rumbling from over 40,000 motorcycles pounding the pavement. Friday night features one of the largest motorcycle parades leading to the outdoor party in the heart of downtown Austin, complete with free live music and vendors. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings will have major named bands perform at the rally location at the Travis County Expo Center.

20th Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival
In the twenty years since its inception, what started as a friendly contest between Austin & San Antonio has become one of the largest annual contests in the world.
