Great insite today from Greg Light:
"To put this drought in some kind of perspective about how bad it has been, Travis has added about 285,000 acre feet of water in the last 14 days. That is about 94 BILLION gallons of water. If that much more water flowed into the lake, it would still not be considered full. The surface area of the lake has also increased by about 40% in the last month."

Lake Travis GuideBody of the lake doesn't look like this. This lake is navigatable by all means. These are debris stop points and inflow areas. Yes it will take LT some time to digest 20 ft of new water, but we'll take a little trash.2 days ago   ·  8

Anabel Hinojosa RivasShawn Collins, it's actually kind of scary how much water was missing. It's gonna look like a different place for sure once it fills back up. To us that have been here for 27+ years the current drought condition scene was foreign.2 days ago   ·  1

I know we are all tiring of Lake level info but, waking up to 655 (up another 5.5 feet in the last 24 hours) those looking to get boats in or out of the water on Lake Travis, the LCRA has 5 more boat ramps that now qualify to be opened:
Bob Wentz at WIndy Point (653)
Jones Brothers Park - City of Jonestown (645)
Pace Bend - Collier Cove (653)
Pace Bend - Tatum Cove (653)
Sandy Creek (649)
LCRA officials report many of these ramps are blocked currently with debris and will likely not be opened today. Feel free to call (512) 854.7275 for more info.
