I was just on the phone with Brian at McNeil Marine making an appointment to take my boat in for its annual tune up and adding some electronics. I realized that this is the third boat I have taken out there in the last 10 years.

I found this shop the hard way. After getting unprofessional service, incompetent mechanics or companies that I could never reach on the phone, I was desperate to find someone to service my boat. I am not that hard to please, but I do expect people to communicate well, do what they say they are going to do, and not make me feel like I have to review every charge to see if I am getting worked over.

I took my boat to his shop after burning up the motor. I had the boat for less than a week and an electrical short caused a major engine fire. Brian fixed me up and took care of adding a new trolling motor. I fished from that boat for another five years and took it to him every year for annual maintenance and upgrades. He even came out and towed me once when I was stranded on Lake Travis with water in the fuel system.

Its so hard to find companies these days that perform their jobs well, deliver on time, communicate easily, act professionally and charge a fair price. This company is one of them and its why I have been coming back for 10 years.

You know what I like about McNeill Marine? Shaking the owners hand and talking with him about my boat. I am a business owner myself, auto repair to be exact, so we are in similar industries. When my customers come into my shop, I know them by name, I know their vehicle, I know their concerns…. Bryan McNeill is the same way. I have trusted him with both of our boats, dating all the way back to 2001. Not only do I trust him, I see brand new boats from boat dealerships there getting touch up work done when something damages a unit while on the lot, so DEALERSHIPS trust him. He is involved and knowledgeable and doesn’t try to blow smoke and shift mirrors around to make you think your getting something you are not. He’s busy, so be prepared to work around his schedule: he has always worked around mine. No fancy waiting rooms, no fancy service counter: just a damn good, local, honest business that gets me back on the water, which is right where my boat should be.

McNeill marine is a very trustworthy reputable business. We recently re-gel coated a 20 year old boat changing the entire color and it looks brand new. They were timing professional and knowledgable going above and beyond expectations.

Brian and his guys are truly talented craftsman. Brian is honest, upfront and responsive. Overall great experience. I came in to get a crack in the the hull of my boat repaired and Brian worked directly with the insurance company to help move the process quickly. The price was reasonable and when the work was complete, I could not tell anything had been done! I highly recommend McNeill Marine to anyone looking to do small to large repairs on their watercraft.
