After a twenty-year relationship, bass player Lucas Copeland’s 2018 call to songwriter/musician Jeff Hobbs signaled a reunion. In the early 2000s, they formed a musical bond despite being opposites. Hobbs, a quiet introvert, and Copeland, an energetic optimist, went separate ways in 2006. In 2018, Copeland brought them back together, leading to the birth of Sun Valley Station.

The band, including longtime keyboard player Brad Sosebee, released their debut double album “DANO” on August 6, 2021. The 21-song collection represents a two-year recording journey across four locations. Despite spanning a decade, the album seamlessly captures human development, described by Hobbs as “a scrapbook of sounds.”

The first released track, “Bullets,” written by Hobbs, sets the tone for Sun Valley Station’s diverse musical offerings. The album spans Americana, rock, country, indie folk, singer/songwriter, blues, adult contemporary, and folk-rock, showcasing Hobbs’ voice marinated in deep southern soul.

Since 2018, Hobbs, Copeland, and Sosebee have been core members, joined in 2021 by manager Jon Paul “JP” Long, Miguel Gilly on drums, and Rolando “Rolo” Ramon on fiddle. Fully equipped and motivated, Sun Valley Station is ready to make a lasting impact in the musical landscape, presenting a feast of diverse sounds.
