Matt Creaton is an Austin born singer/songwriter who moved around a lot as a child. Living in Chicago, Orlando, Memphis, Knoxville and a few other spots, his nomadic childhood prepared him for a return to Austin in his late teens where he began his love affair with the craft of songwriting. He’s spent time on the road performing in and exploring places like Kauai, Florida, Colorado and the whole west coast.

His love of RnB/Soul and funk lays a soulful foundation for him but he refuses to be pigeonholed into a specific genre. Matt sites the music of Motown, classic rock and reggae as the stuff that moves him with artists like Al Green, BB King, Bob Marley, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zepplin being a few of his favorites. That is strongly evident as his music has an old school feel to it using real vintage instruments ,multiple musicians and no sampling.
