Lakeway Solar Eclipse Viewing Event
On Monday, April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will occur over North America, sweeping across Central Texas and Lakeway is in the path of totality!
The eclipse will grace us with its presence starting at 12:17 p.m. The moment of totality, when the moon’s shadow completely obscures the sun’s face, will occur at 1:35 p.m., lasting approximately three minutes and 14 seconds!
You can join us in witnessing this extraordinary event at the Lakeway Activity Center!
Free Solar Eclipse glasses will be distributed by City staff (while supplies last), and viewing space will be available at the Lakeway Activity Center parking lot (available until capacity is reached).
Additionally, you’ll have the chance to indulge in optional food offerings, capture memories at the photo booth, and partake in various other exciting activities!
