Dining at Delmonico’s with Chef Heidi Wittenborn

Delmonico’s was New York’s first restaurant, opening in 1837.

It was the first restaurant to be reviewed by the NY Times in 1859.

The original closed in 1923 but to this day other restaurants have continues to operate under the name and claim the heritage.

Delmonico’s claims the invention of Eggs Benedict, Lobster Newburg, Baked Alaska, Wedge Salad and Manhattan Clam Chowder.

The restaurant was patronized by the famous and the infamous including Jenny Lind, Theodore Roosevelt; Mark Twain; “Diamond Jim” Brady; Lillian Russell, Charles Dickens; Oscar Wilde; and Nikola Tesla- so you’ll be dining in good company.

Chef Heidi’s menu includes Manhattan Clam Chowder, Wedge Salad, Delmonico Steak topped with Lobster Newburg and Delmonico’s Potatoes.

The cost for this demonstration class is $69 per person.
