Infamous Brewing Company, a Lake Travis Craft Brewery, was founded by friends from diverse geographical and professional backgrounds who shared the goal of leaving behind their former careers and following something they were passionate about. Come visit the Brewery for tours, tastings and special events. We’d love for y’all to come over for a few pints & get a inside look of Infamous Brewing Company.
~ Well behaved kids & dogs are always welcome

We independently migrated to Austin because we love the energy and excitement of a truly exceptional city that is growing each day. There is also a booming craft beer culture here that drew us in and made us feel at home creating the friendship that drives our brewery. Working together, our initial brewhouse was put together piece by piece, part by part with the goal of delivering great handmade craft beer in small batches.

We create our beers because we like to drink them and believe they should be enjoyed the way we enjoy them – with friends and family for any occasion, big or small.

  6. Despite the Texas summer being in full swing, the outside seating area was nicely shaded. Live music with Ian Sunrise Wolfe highlighted the afternoon. Enjoyed a wonderful flight of 6 of their finest. The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. I will be going back!

  9. Fantastic beer garden and incredible beer… Food trucks in the backyard, but really laid-back and awesome. The staff was so incredibly generous, so worth the trip! Would recommend this brewery – it is significantly better than the Oasis, which is just a tourist trap. The people and the beer is phenomenally better.

  16. Great beer, bands and food trucks!!! What a great time! Hidden gem in Austin and still have the old Austin vibe! Thank you, Infamous! They also sponsor local organizations such as the Austin Yacht Club! Owners are wonderful people and down to earth!

  19. Wow. What a very welcoming place. So much beers to choose from, from IPA, cream, wheat, lager and so on. Prices are also reasonable. If you do have kids, there is also a nice playground on the food truck area. But brewery wise, impressed. A place that you feel home. Nice people to chat with, nice place and the awesome beers which go with it.

  20. Awesome hidden treasure out by Lake Travis. Chill outdoor atmosphere with food trucks and playground out back.

    Holli D. , 3 years ago
  21. Infamous is the epitome of your local brewery. The beer is great and the staff is knowledgeable and can recommend what you’ll like based on taste. CeCe is amazing and runs the show. The owner, Josh, is out there mingling with the customers. The staff treats you like a friend and not like a number. There’s always good music and there’s a food truck court nextdoor. You will never retreat your time here year round! From the misters in the summer to the fire pit during the cold months, you will have fun here year round!

  24. Great small brewery with plenty of outdoor seating. Resident puppy “Noodles” greeted us for well deserved pets. Grab your beer and walk to the food truck area adjacent that includes a fenced off area for your pups off leash and a small playground for the kids. Nothing else like it in the area.

  26. This is our go-to place after mountain biking in the area. Never had a bad beer or anything but friendly and prompt service. The patio has a nice laid back vibe with live music sometimes. There’s a new food trailer area too. I definitely like some of their beers more than others, but they are happy to give a sample if you need help deciding it was half pour if you want to save room for more varieties (and they do have a good mix to choose from). I’d definitely recommend.

  27. Love it! Such a great place and super friendly environment! Amazing beer choices as well!!

  28. Visiting from florida and decided to stop by for a drink. The jesus juice is a great sour beer with the right amount of funk. The dark larger hit all the right notes as well. Nice and open space with (at least while i was there) a super amazing dog… staff was really friendly as well. Recommend you check it out!

    David W. , 5 years ago
  29. This is a fun, intimate brewery with a laid-back but rustic feel. We also had the special honor of playing fetch with Noodles the dog. This experience is also enhanced with a wide variety of consistently great beer from IPAs to Weiss, sours and stouts. You’ll find something to love, and you’ll probably finish a glass of your least-favorite beer if you got it from here. Enjoy!

  30. What a great place! Great beer, great location.
Deploying soon from Fort Hood and it was great to hang out here on a Sunday.. I’m really missing my dog so it was great for the wife and I to play fetch with the servers dog. I feel terrible I didn’t get your name!! Thank you very much for the welcome!

  31. This place is exactly what you’d want to run across on a Saturday evening (when you’re 38 minutes from downtown Austin). Unique beers, live music, outdoor venue. When we were here, there was a dog lover with a rescue dog, a couple with their kids (eating the free popcorn) and a couple who arrived on a motorcycle. And I’m pretty sure there was a homeless guy eating the popcorn for supper. It was great, a lovely mix of humanity enjoying a beautiful evening.

    Monica L. , 6 years ago
  32. Friendly staff, amazing beer, with a cozy environment! Would definitely recommend this brewery to anyone in the area who loves beer. They also serve food, which is always a plus.

  33. Infamous brewing is kick ass the newly remodeled taproom/tasting room is great the idea that you can buy specialty casked craft beers when you leave is also a great idea I buy these as gifts for business associates partners and clients.

Great place to hang out Thursday Friday and the weekends are jammin with music and everything else the taproom staff are wonderful. And the brew master and his team are fabulous and don’t get forget to talk to the owner he is hilarious.

Gotta say more about the bartenders they are super awesome super generous and friendly and make everyone feel at home. If you haven’t tried it give it a try

If you’ve been here before come on back out it’s October now and the weather is great the new tap room is really pretty and they’ve really improved their brew facility take a new tour get the taster oh my gosh the tasting menu and the taster is one of the best I’ve ever seen

    Steve A. , 6 years ago
  34. Off the beaten path and worth exploring! They do beer right! Great place to enjoy a beer, relax, and have a good time with friends.

    Zoe A. , 6 years ago
  35. Awesome unassuming place. You’d miss it if you weren’t looking for it! Bartender was nice and the beer selection was great. Made friends with the resident dog while there. They have tv and a few games… picnic tables outside and great ac inside. We tried a flight and had a hard time picking our faves. My husband ended up getting the Jesus juice while I ended up with the light pils. The octoberfest was on point as well. It’s far from where we live, but I’ll bet we will be visiting again 🙂

  36. Enjoy the selection of beverages, service of the local brewery. A nice neighborhood hangout.

    Greg W. , 6 years ago
  37. Best beers that span the spectrum from sour to stouts. I specifically like the darker ones including sweep the leg which is very close proximity to 512 pecan porter. Like the friendliness and events

    Scott G, , 6 years ago
  38. Love this brewery. This is the perfect place to come for a beer after a day on the lake. Nice wide selection of beers. Some unique offerings like their peanut butter stout, “Sweep the Leg”. The day we went they had a taco truck outside, too. No frills setting for people who want a good beer.

    Lisa M. , 6 years ago
  39. Really good tasting beer! Live music by the Iveys and Barbeque provided for Father’s Day. Definitely returning

    Brandon F. , 6 years ago
  40. This is a cool spot and a must visit for a craft beer enthusiast. These guys are super good peeps, super generous laid back. I highly recommend you stop by for a pint or 3 lol.

  41. Awesome hidden treasure out by Lake Travis. Chill outdoor atmosphere with food trucks and playground out back.

  42. You have to venture out to beautiful Lake Travis area and stop here for an afternoon. This place is the best of what craft brewing is all about. A fun and irreverent atmosphere, it’s a casual place to drink some fantastic beer and hear good music or play games with friends. They have what I consider a very well balanced draft list, including stouts, sours, IPA’s, and ales. Try the peanut butter stout 😉

    David H. , 7 years ago
  43. This place…… so much great to say about it from erika and patty to the bugbys and infamy.
A great place to hit a motorcycle run or bring the convertible out. Music a 5 , beer a 5 and dog friendly a 10!

    Travis W. , 7 years ago
  44. We stumbled upon this unassuming brewery during our family trip out in Austin. We needed a few hours to kill and I’m so glad we decided to stop by here.

It is a no frills and very homey brewery/tasting room, with a few tables inside and several outside. I didn’t want to risk getting bitten by bugs so we opted to stay inside.

I did not catch their names but we were helped by two ladies and they were extremely nice! We settled on a flight and a pint of their gose (from a can, as it was not available on tap). She was nice enough of offer to open the can and just include it in my flight, but I didn’t want to waste any gose and had her just give me the entire pint.

Most of the beer we tasted were delicious. We picked up a mix and match 6 pack, since I enjoyed their gose so much. It is really hard to find a brewery that does the gose the way the Germans in Leipzig do it, as it is supposed to be a bit salty and lightly sour, with some funkiness to it. It definitely isn’t for everyone and Infamous does a pretty decent job at making it. Most other breweries treat it as a straight sour beer, so you’d get a big sour kick in the face.

Other beer worth mentioning are the Hijack cream ale, Bugsy’s fire bush amber ale and Destination red ale. Also there is a Yelp check in for a free pint glass, perfect free souvenir for myself!

  45. Infamous is an awesome spot to try some high-quality beer and hang out in a very low key, relaxed environment. Tucked away in the back of an office park, it has a surprisingly nice outdoor area with plenty of picnic tables and a seasonal fire pit. There is usually a food truck, and you may even catch some live music. The owner, Josh, takes real pride in his beer and his establishment, and it shows in the quality brews being poured here. All in all, if you’re a fan of good, locally-made beer, you should stop by Infamous.

  46. I have been coming here for several years now and the only reason I didn’t write a review is because I wanted to keep it a secrete but the cats outta the bag on this great Hudson Bend local brewery. They just tapped their first sour which was GREAT if you’re a sour beginner. Not too tart but still a sour. My go to is their IPA. This is what really got me addicted to IPAs in the first place. There is now a food truck open every day the beer garden is open. Stop by and get a little taste of life in “The Bend”.

  47. What not to love about this place?!? Beer sometime s food and a band to boot.. zone sure to look at the calendar for all the fun and exciting events they have throughout the year.
We love coming here and hanging out.. be back as soon as we can great spot.

  48. I came up from San Antonio for a jeep meet they were hosting for DarkSide Jeepers. I loved the gals working behind the counter. So sweet and fun to talk to. Prior to the meet-up I had never heard of them. They are a young ambitious crew with a bright future ahead of them. I am looking forward to seeing their brews in the local H.E.B.s here in S.A.

A food truck was right outside the door and I saw quite a few people ordering from it. I had eaten prior to arriving so I did not partake in the fare that was being offered. A large antiquish flatbed truck sits next to the patio and offers its bed as a stage to local bands who play there. I really loved the idea of this. There are a handful of tables inside offering plenty of seating and enough room for a small band to play as well. I missed the brewery tour, but will try to get in on it next time. Thank you for the hospitality and fine brews!

  49. I have never had a craft beer I liked better! When we told him the brew we like- he knew exactly what to offer us. Bugsys Fire Brush Amber! This company knows the importance of customer service- from the cleaning woman- the staff- and the owner are SO NICE!
Be sure to catch their hours for tastings are 5-9pm!
We wish Josh the best of luck with his beer lines!

    Candy S. , 9 years ago
  50. Most awesomeness! We come here every time we are in Austin. Always a good brew! Last time we were here we supported pints for pups, that was why we stopped!

Flavor is why we are back!

    Rebecca R. , 9 years ago
  51. This is one of my favorite places to relax and grab some awesome beers. Mostly locals here and the vibe is super chill. Dogs and kiddos welcome. Free popcorn always available , and free movie night on every Thursday.
This is one of those places that I want to promote and rave about, but at the same time, don’t want it to get too big and leave this amazing location that’s super convenient for us!
Either way, best local place in the area.

    Jaca V. , 9 years ago
  52. “Put him in a body bag!”

If you cannot recall this line from The Karate Kid-I will spare you from shamming you-but will highly encourage you to rematch the movie and go out to this brewery and grab a beer or two or three (no judgement here).

Infamous may seem like its a bit of a drive out that way, but I think it is totally worth the drive out to the Lake Travis area. I think the set up is super great, how casual and friendly the vibe is, to the style of beers and the live music and fresh popcorn that is always popping ever weekend.

The beers itself are pretty great. Hands down the Sweep the Leg (catch phrase at the beginning reference) is by far one of my favorite beers I have had there. Seeing he ombre affect as the peanut butter stout poor into the glass is super appealing, but the flavors are on point. I would also have to say that the Hijack-cream ale is another favorite that is quiet subtle with the flavors, but hits the spot nicely. And if you are craving an amber-the Bugsy’s Fire Brush is also an all time favorite.

So go ahead-take a trip out here, try some of their great tasting beers on tap and come home to watch The Karate Kid after you have been inspired by the great flavors of Infamous!
