I cannot recommend Hudson Bend Ranch highly enough. The owner, Steven, is so generous with his time and property, and is consistently available for questions. The venue was perfect for our 60 person wedding and roughly 20 people staying on site for the weekend. It truly felt like an oasis in the Texas heat and so much space to feel comfortable no matter where you were.

I can’t say enough good things about Hudson Bend Ranch! We had a wedding with 50 guests here in October of 2023. This property is absolutely beautiful and was the perfect setting for our “backyard wedding” vibe. The HBR team were incredibly easy to work with which made everything so much less stressful. Not only is the property gorgeous, but you have a lot of flexibility to make the event what you want. Rather than a rehearsal dinner, we had a rehearsal brunch also on site. Because the property has so many features, our wedding and rehearsal brunch were still unique in their own way, despite being on the same property. We brought a lot of our own stuff such as decor, serverware, etc. but the ranch ended up having a lot of things to help supplement what we didn’t think of. We were also able to have a pizza truck (shout out to Bahler Pizza) come cater our wedding, as the venue has plenty of space to house that kind of thing. This venue was extra special for me because the Casadecas and Casita allowed us to have our family stay on the property for a few nights. We wanted it to feel like a destination wedding where we had a lot of quality time with family and friends, and we certainly got a wedding experience we will never forget. We also opted for a four night stay so that we would have one extra night post wedding and that was very helpful with taking our time to clean up and just decompress after the event. I wish I could repeat the whole stay, it was so wonderful and HBR will always hold a special place in my heart.

Hudson Bend Ranch was a perfect venue for our small wedding ceremony. A few words come to mind when we think about our experience: serene, natural, romantic, lush, relaxing, plentiful. Steven and company have done a very good job creating a space that feels special. We liked the water fountain, the greenery, and the lights at night. We also liked that the venue functions as an airbnb too — we could provide our wedding party a place to stay over the weekend, which means we could spend some extra time with them. Besides this, Steven and his co-host, Janet, were very welcoming during our inquiry phase and very responsive as we were planning and even on the day of the ceremony. If you’re looking for a lovely place to hold your wedding, or you just want to get out of the city for a while, look no further than Hudson Bend Ranch.

Absolutely incredible experience. Hiring the lovely folks at Hudson Bend Ranch was the easiest choice we made when wedding planning. The owner Steven is flexible, accommodating, welcome and so sweet and helpful. When a storm blew in 24 hours before the wedding he quickly set up tents and cleaned up the property for debris the morning of the wedding without hesitation.

Highly recommend booking the property to stay on the grounds if your wedding party needs it, all the rooms and air streams were clean and wonderful.

We will definitely be staying there again for a nice getaway!

The stay at Hudson Bend Ranch was everything we wanted and more! Steven is accommodating, proactive, and made us feel very welcome!! We had such a fun wedding weekend with a small group of (~50) friends and family — the flowers and birds were an incredibly peaceful feature of the property. We will certainly be coming back to remember all the good times!!!

My wife and I recently had our wedding here. Really beautiful space with lots of gnarly trees providing shade. Served us well with a high volume of outdoor party / ceremony space. Also has several Airbnb units there and a big house that can sleep 9 in separate rooms. Very serene. Good bbq just down the street. Right against the Colorado river. The owner Steven is a great host! He helped make sure our wedding was truly special. There is parking there for about 30 vehicles. The property hosts many wildflowers in the spring.

Where do I start in describing the incredible memories we had at Hudson Bend and the privilege it was to have Steven as our venue owner?

We live in the northeast and planned our wedding largely from afar. After seeing photographs of Hudson Bend online, we fell in love and knew it was the right setting for the destination wedding we were envisioning.

Our celebration took place in June 2022. It was a truly magical experience. It’s hard to describe in words how serene Hudson Bend is. There is something so intimate, beautiful, sublime, and unassumingly dignified about the gardens and grounds of this sanctuary. One of our guests literally commented: “It’s ethereal here.” The gardens are so lovingly curated and well-taken care of yet maintain an authentic, natural essence that allows it to serve as a sanctuary for songbirds and hummingbirds. On the morning of my wedding, I sipped coffee while watching the hummingbirds feed! What a gift.

Steven, the owner, is the hardest working venue owner I could imagine. He is incredibly patient, helpful, a problem solver, and clearly had our best interests in mind every step of the way in planning. We had to reschedule our wedding multiple times due to the pandemic and travel-related constraints. Steven was extremely patient and accommodating to our multiple delays and rescheduling requests, never making us feel rushed while we tried to find a date that would work for our busy schedules as the bride and groom and that of our loved ones who were traveling from across the country and internationally. He was extremely responsive–always answering our spontaneous calls and texts. More than that, he went above and beyond in helping us set up for our event. He literally broke a sweat for us, helping move items that we needed set up in different places around the grounds. On a few occasions, he communicated with our vendors on our behalf and helped them with their set up (averting a vendor cancellation). We are so grateful to him for being such a calming presence, so patient and understanding, and for being someone we could trust. He truly was like a friend rather than just a vendor.

I highly recommend Hudson Bend Ranch as your wedding venue. We hope to travel back one day to once again enjoy the serenity of this beautiful place.

Wow, where do we begin. First off, Steven is the most, by far, hospitable and accommodating Airbnb owner I have ever worked with. Anytime I asked a question I was met with a quick response and he always lent a helping hand! We rented the entire property for a business training retreat, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. I don’t have a single complaint! The property is beautiful and perfect for large groups. We made so many memories at Hudson Bend Ranch, and truly hope to make it an annual tradition! BRAVO, STEVEN!

Booking Hudson Bend Ranch was the best decision my husband and I made. We had a 50 guest wedding and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting. We had 3 days to make memories, it was so much more than just our wedding day. Our families had a wonderful time bonding for 3 days with their own room to retreat to. Steven and Janet were so helpful during the entire process. We booked in March and married in November. During that time, if we ever had a question, one of them reached back out within a day. I felt so much peace having them as a vendor. They are so great with everything! I highly recommend Hudson Bend Ranch!

We held our 40-person wedding at Hudson Bend Ranch this April and it was the perfect setting for a relaxed and intimate celebration. We rented the whole property for a long weekend with out of town guests, who enjoyed the comfortable lodging, big kitchen, and courtyard space. Steven and Janet made coordinating the wedding event stress-free by having tables, chairs, linens, sound, and lighting right on the property. The big fan was a savior on the dance floor! We were also pleasantly surprised by the convenience of the AC bar area which became the perfect spot for late-night karaoke. It was a ton of fun! So happy with our photos and all the incredible backdrops you can find on just one property. Thanks Steven and Janet for hosting us!

We had our under 50-person wedding at Hudson Bend Ranch in April. It was our first wedding decision, and as it turns out, the absolute best one we could have ever made. From the second my husband and I met Steven on the property, we had a gut feeling this was the perfect place for us. We rented the entire property for the weekend to host our out of town family and friends. To say the experience was magical is the hugest understatement. Hudson Bend Ranch facilitated the wedding of our dreams, and an experience our family and friends will not soon forget. It was an emotional weekend full of beautiful details, in the most tranquil setting. We are so grateful to Steven and Janet. Because of you, we were able to create countless memories of a lifetime in the span of 3 short days. On that same note- part of the reason we are so happy with our decision is because getting those 2 days on either side of our wedding to spend quality time and just relax! Being on the property where you’ll be having the wedding really relieves so much logistical stress. To brides on the fence with where to book, I say to you: If you’re looking for something different, for something quality over quantity, for something relaxed where you can really soak up every moment, truly, look no further. This place is magical.

I got married at Hudson Bend Ranch on 12.3.22 and feel SO fortunate to have used this venue. I looked for a long time for a venue that was unique and that offered onsite lodging and finding Hudson Bend Ranch was well worth the effort. Steven and Janet were phenomenal owners who answered all questions quickly and made our entire experience a breeze. Being able to stay with our wedding party and family on-site for the entire weekend was such an invaluable gift. The venue is stunning, the hosts are incredible, and you really couldn’t go wrong choosing it for your special day. We will definitely book a stay in the house with our family and friends sometime again soon!

We booked this venue and stay for our wedding and 16 guests. Steven the owner is so helpful and responsive and you cannot ask for a more beautiful place. Absolutely stunning! We plan on having an annual reunion because we loved it so much. Can’t wait to be back!

My fiancé and I were on the hunt for the perfect setting to host our small wedding ceremony (and also be able to accommodate as many out of town guests as possible with on site lodging)when we found Hudson Bend Ranch. From the first turn at the gate upon arrival, we knew we had found our hidden hill country oasis. Steven Ray, the owner, was there to warmly greet us and patiently show us around and was a continued source of great help and expertise throughout our planning process. Our guests continuously commented on the breathtaking natural beauty of the property and the amount of comfort and amenities the housing boasted as well. “Magical” was a common description brought up throughout our wedding weekend as our friends and family members were able to freely roam the fields of gently swaying wildflowers, alive with fluttering butterfly wings, meander along stone pathways guarded by mature trees that allowed for dappled summer sunlight to reflect against the babbling fountain that lent its voice to the song the wide variety of birds were already singing. Hudson Bend Ranch served as not only the perfect backdrop for our ceremony, but also as a peaceful retreat for our guests to be able to get a taste of the Texas hill country experience- and feel like they had it all to themselves if they wanted. I know they took a piece back home with them in their memory and their hearts. We could not recommend this absolute treasure of a place enough and look forward to the next time we can stay- doesn’t even need to be for a particular event because I have a feeling ANY occasion would be made special here simply by being present and taking it all in.

Hudson Bend Ranch is a beautiful property and a unique place to host your wedding or intimate event! We were so excited to have our friends and families stay with us on the property for our whole wedding weekend, it was going to feel like a retreat! Unfortunately, our plans have changed due to Covid, however, Steven has been an amazing host throughout the whole process. He is kind, flexible, and understanding. We hope to make our way back out there and rent it for a weekend sometime later in the future.

Steve, thank you for the wedding of our dreams!! Our wedding was absolutely perfect and Steve played a huge role in making that happen. Not only is the venue already GORGEOUS, Steve is very involved and goes the extra mile to ensure it’s everything you want! All of our friends and family loved the venue and loved Steve! I didn’t feel stressed out about anything when it came to the venue, because Steve takes care of all those little details so you can relax. He’s the absolute best! We highly recommend Hudson Bend Ranch for your wedding venue or next get away! Book before someone else does, trust me you don’t want to pass this place up!

Absolutely breathtaking! Wildflowers galore, butterflies, the most romantic lighting in the gardens, wildlife. Mr. Ray has created a wonderful venue.
12 of us staying 4 days for a wedding. We were all so relaxed. The waterfall jetted tub gets it’s own five stars. I felt like I was at a world class spa. Comfy beds too.
I highly recommend your next event or getaway be at Hudson Bend Ranch. You won’t regret it.

My newlywed wife and I just had an amazing weekend at Hudson Bend Ranch. We were just over the moon about how lovely it turned out. You can easily host the whole family for a small wedding or just have the wedding party there and have everyone else out for the wedding. The mornings were beautiful with birds chirping and the smell of jasmine. The grounds are lush and green this time of year, can’t wait to see the photographers photos. The casaita was secluded and separate and was the perfect place for the ladies to get ready the day of the wedding. We are looking at having a family reunion here next year we loved it so much! Don’t think twice about having your event here!
