Hill Country Wine Tours LLC provides all-inclusive, customized day trips to the Texas Hill Country seven days a week.

Cities we may visit would include Wimberly, Dripping Springs, Johnson City, Hye, Fredericksburg, Blanco and many more.

A typical day would include visiting and tastings at three vineyards and an enjoyable lunch. A dinner option is also available. We will tailor the day to your desire and pick your private group, bachelorette/bachelor party or corporate retreat guests up and return them safely to a central location of your choosing.

Whiskey Tours are also our specialty and we can customize an itinerary similar to our wine tours, or mix and match a combination of wineries and distilleries for your trip. Hill Country Wines Tours has partnered with over thirty wineries and eight distilleries to provide our guests a memorable experience. Our chosen partners have indoor and outdoor facilities and are booked accordingly with the weather in mind and after a consultation to discover more about your tastes. Our goal is to provide you the best guest experience. It is our passion to introduce you to the various boutique and larger wineries during our time together.

“You drink we drive” in the comfort of one of our new Mercedes Sprinter or Ford Transit Vans with an extended roof and extended chassis for carrying all that wine and whiskey home. We provide your guests cold water and Topo Chicos, and or enjoy your own wine or spirits while on board. We are fully insured and registered with the State of Texas and the Department of Transportation.

Hill Country Wine Tours LLC also provides private group transportation for parties of six or more to any destination of your choosing including airport pick up’s or drop off’s events, rodeos, fairs, sporting events, ACL and SXSW Festivals in the state of Texas. If you have a group of larger than 15 additional discounts can be provided. If you want your group to spend the night, we can make arrangements for your guests as well.

We loved our experience with HCWT! From start to finish, communication was seamless. We were traveling with four adults, two toddlers, and a baby, so Dave considered that and made recommendations for kid-friendly wineries. Untamed was our favorite! Karen, our driver, was great! She was on time, friendly, and never made us feel rushed. She was great with our kiddos and we would love to have her drive us again during our next visit to Fredericksburg. I highly recommend this company if you will be in the area and are looking for a driver!

We booked with Hill Country Wine Tours for a bachelorette party in July 2025 and couldn’t have been happier! The owner was incredibly responsive, reliable, and easy to work with. We had such a great time last Saturday with Ruth as our amazing and fun wine tour guide and driver! Hill Country Wine tours did all the planning covering every detail. We had a great time, the lunch at Untamed was delicious and the tree top table at the next venue was so much fun! And having us plan our own music playlist for the drive was a really fun extra touch. We will definitely be back!

I planned a trip for my girlfriends from out of town. Sadly I got caught up with work for much of the day and my friends still managed to have the very best time, largely due to Dave’s team keeping the party going! We even arrived early to one stop and the venue wasn’t open yet, and all be darn If they didn’t say “let’s go check this spot out instead!” to avoid us from having to wait.

Dave even has launched his own accommodations site, which means you don’t have to stop at just catching a ride, you can keep the party going all night long AND bundle your stay and transportation all into one.

Someone take the mic away from me, because I could go on and on about how great Hill Country Wine Tours and Dave is!

First time in Fredericksburg and went to celebrate my birthday! Hill Country Wine Tours was perfect for our group. Ruth made the day so fun and special for us. Dave communicated well through the entire booking process as a first timer for wine tastings! They did all the planning which took off stress of booking a girls trip. I would absolutely recommend this business & will be booking with them again. Everything was exceptional from pickup to drop off.

I wish I could give my experience more than 5 stars because it was that great! We arranged for a winery tour day with family members over the holidays and had a fantastic time. Booking was an easy process and Dave was super responsive and helpful! Mark was our driver the day of and was very friendly, on time and made sure we made it to each of our destinations safe and on time! Van was clean and beautiful. It was so nice to be able to just enjoy time with family and leave the transportation to the professionals! We will use Hill Country Wine Tours for all future needs and cannot recommend them enough!!

THIS IS A MUST DO EXPERIENCE!! I don’t care if you live in Texas, or are visiting. Dave is OUTSTANDING at putting together an unbelievable, unforgettable experience for an amazing price and NO HASSLE. I repeat NO HASSLE! They literally put together this great experience with just a little info and it was MAGICAL. They even worked in a few extra stops to add to the experience! I’m so grateful that we found them and will recommend to all my friends, family and strangers!! We will definitely be going again. Do yourself a favor, book the tour.
I also want to add that Mark, our driver has got to be one of the most polite, nicest individuals ever! He kept us on schedule, took pictures and was a fantastic person. So grateful for all the wonderful people who helped us with our tour!

If you want to have a fantastic time tasting wine (without having to worry about driving or having a DD), then this is the tour for you! Pick up from your home (even San Antonio), a fantastic driver who will play your jams, and herd the stragglers, to delicious food and wine and an all around good time. Do I even need to mention the gorgeous views of the hill country? Highly recommend and will definitely be booking with this company again! Go and have yourself a fantastic, relaxing day! You won’t be disappointed.

Cannot recommend this tour company enough! I sent an inquiry online, and Dave (owner) called me himself to ask about our event and what type of celebration we were having. It was a bachelorette party for my niece. Dave immediately told me his plan for 3 top wineries, including one for lunch. The price was right in line with other local companies. We said yes – and he set up the online booking link. Made it easy for our group to get signed up for the tour. His wife, Ruth, was our driver for the day. She was WONDERFUL! She made sure we had all we needed on the bus, at each winery, and was right there any time we needed her – whether to snap a pic, or provide a blanket because it was a little too chilly at one of the locations. They picked up and dropped off from our vacation rental. It was all SO easy, and our day out in Fredricksburg was perfect. 10/10 recommend, and would use them again!

We had lunch w/ tasting and hit another three amazing places. Scott (transport) picked us up at our house on schedule and could not have been more polite and friendly. Ruth was our tour guide this weekend and was AMAZING! She took such incredible care of me and my bridal party keeping us on time, organized and most importantly hydrated. She took photos of us at each spot so everyone got to be in them. Our tour was laid back and it felt like we had ample time at each winery. Dave organized all the details ahead of time and everything was just perfect. We had a 2 year old tagging along and he made sure she was welcome and taken care of. Thank you both for making my special weekend perfect!

10 out of 5 stars for Dave our tour guide! He customized our bachelorette requests for BBQ and wineries. He used his extensive connections to get our bride the best experience. He followed my requests for going to less crowded vineyards by surprising us with an extra stop at a treehouse tasting! He lets you be DJ in the van and even took tons of pictures and sent to me for sharing with the girls. Worth the price!

We booked a Tour with Hill Country for 11 ladies on a moms getaway! The tour was perfect, the experience fun and relaxing, Ruth was so sweet and our personal photographer which made it so much easier to enjoy without having to ask strangers to take photos. The winery tour was a perfect way to celebrate 60 years of living with a group of lifelong girlfriends! From the registration process and the personal touches provided by Dave, it was a fabulous experience full of beautiful wineries, great tasting wines and lots of laughs!! Unbelievable way to reunite a group of friends to celebrate one of us getting hitched. Dave is the perfect host, pairing us with fantastic tours and locations. Hill Country Wine Tours is awesome! Dave put together a fabulous tour for my 50th birthday including hand written cards and beautiful set ups at each winery. Lindsey was a fabulous tour guide and very accommodating. The chocolate tasting was a wonderful surprise!

I am not from Texas or have ever visited Austin, and I booked through Dave after a last minute cancellation through another company for my sisters bachelorette party. We are not the rowdiest group, but still were interested in having fun. Dave was consistently professional yet warm and responsive to our group’s needs. Keri was our driver and she was incredibly flexible and friendly. She even added a stop for free chocolate samples when our second winery sped through the tasting (at the castle). The partnerships they had with the wineries were impressive, and so thoughtful. I would definitely recommend Hill Country Wine Tours to anyone planning a trip to Austin.

Look no further for your wine tour. After switching destinations for my sweet friends’ bachelorette party, We stumbled across Hill Country Wine Tours. Dave is an incredible host and curated a tour for our group that was one-of-a-kind. His wife Ruth drove us to some of the most amazing spots in Fredericksburg. We had an absolute blast on our Hill Country Wine Tour! This was a surprise for our bride and she was so excited. We loved themed events so we decided to take it back to the 90’s. Ruth was amazing and always had cold water waiting for us on return to the bus. She took group pictures through the day which was a huge plus! Very professional and fun! We would 12/10 recommend!!!!
