The Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen, a Lake Travis restaurant, serves up New American fare, crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free? We’ve got you covered. And our acclaimed wine lists offer something for every palate and budget.

Our convenient Lakeway location has an adjoining Lola Savannah Coffee Lounge. Stop in for your morning cappuccino on the way to work, or order delicious Lola drinks with your lunch or dinner at the Grove.

From the get-go, our goal has been to provide a casual place where Austinites and visitors could enjoy great wine and food. When we first opened, we called ourselves a wine bar. However, since our inception, we have had a full kitchen. Does this make us a restaurant, people wonder? It definitely makes us more than a wine bar—we are The Grove Wine Bar | Kitchen.

We hope our customers appreciate and enjoy what we do. It truly is a labor of love. A number of people, both current and former employees, have helped make The Grove what it is today.

A restaurant can never rest on its laurels, especially in a place like Austin that has so many great dining options. We’re always trying to stay on top of our game and make things even better, and we never lose sight of the initial idea that wine and food are for everyone to enjoy.

  3. I love the food, the service, the coffee, and the experience here at The Grove. My two year old daughter loves the food from the kids menu. I have had the burger, the Maryland crabcake, and the salmon salad. All of the food here is well seasoned and prepared to prefection. I love dining out, and this is now a favorite haunt of mine. Highly recommend!

  8. Located hill top with great views. Excellent brunch spot and any other time!
Balcony/Patio has heating and cooling/summer and is covered. Inside a wall of windows brings the views in for everyone and into an impressive wine collection!
Craft drinks are tasty and the food is exceptional

  9. Nice restaurant outside the Austin area that we stopped at for dinner. Wine selection was great (and priced affordably), salads were tasty and the service was good. Worth stopping by if in the area.

  10. We love this place ! Food and services are always very good, and the location/view is just amazing. We go there frequently, and we will keep doing it!!!

  11. Our third time here and it never disappoints! The bruschetta is a must- you can’t go wrong with any options but this time we tried the typical tomato/balsamic, whipped feta with pistachios and the apples with fig. Sharing those + the Cobb salad was a quick and light dinner. The charceuterie board is also amazing. Great service and beautiful views!

  12. Great atmosphere at Lakewsy location. Buddha bowl was a tad spicy. Meatballs were wee seasoned. Salmon on top of coconut lime rice – salmon was nice and crispy.

  13. Adan was our waiter and he was THE best!!!!!!! Words and stars is not even enough!!! He recommended the best flights and he truly knew his stuff! He was friendly , talkative and made our date night even more fun!! We will be going back to this one from now on! 100+ for Adan! Best server ever ! Loved our food and flights!

  14. Food and drinks are great, but it feels like you’re rubbing shoulders when it’s busy. Not a huge fan of their table set up.

Wife and I usually sit inside and their tables could use a bit more room. We had a party of 4 and we could barely fit our appetizers and drinks before the entrees arrived.

  15. First time to this location in lakeway. We came after a visit at the hospital right down the street. The best item at our table was the layered chicken enchiladas, which is the Monday special. We had some other issues but the manager on duty Thomas handled it properly, so hopefully it was just an off day. We look forward to trying this location again. Beautiful view and nice atmosphere.

  16. I have dine at the restaurant several times. It’s one of my favorites in Lakeway. It’s a great location to bring guests when they come and visit. The food, wine, and atmosphere are consistently good.

    Mike M. , 2 years ago
  17. Cori was our server and she made our whole experience so fun!!! It was my besties birthday and she made it a dinner we couldn’t forget. (‘: If you go to the grove, which you should, ask for Cori!! She’s awesome. Definitely coming back for Saturday brunch to see her again!

    madelyn s. , 2 years ago
  18. We’ve gone there for the 3rd time now and I love the flights! Great place to bring a date or just have fun with some friends. The food is very good with a great atmosphere and beautiful views over the Austin hills! Shoutout Cori for giving us the best experience for our friends’ birthday!

    Lucas B. , 2 years ago
  19. Went here with some girlfriends for a little get together. My friend had accidentally booked reservations at another location but luckily they were able to sit the 4 of us without a wait. We did go later in the evening and ended up staying until they closed so that could be why the server wasn’t too attentive. We got our drinks and food and the view was great. Definitely worth trying it out in the future, maybe with more time before they close.

Parking: Not too many parking spaces if everyone in your party is arriving separately. This is a place to carpool or get a rideshare to avoid the smaller parking lot.

  20. Lovely place to eat. Great views and very tasty food. We had spaghetti and meatballs, hamburger and chips, and a Ceasar salad. Also, the white wine flight was just my kind of wine.

    Amanda P. , 2 years ago
  21. Amazing views, great gluten-free, dairy-free options, great service, wine flights, and great drinks. I was nervous about taking our kids, but the staff was so kind to them, and they had a decent menu for them.

    Amber G. , 2 years ago
  22. Beautiful views and delicious food! The wine flight is an amazing value, I couldn’t even finish them all. We had the bruschetta, it was so, so good and fresh. . The meat lovers pizza was fantastic as well. Service was friendly and attentive. I don’t live near Lakeway but I would definitely come back to this location!

    Keshante A. , 2 years ago
  23. A lovely spot for a nice view and wine flights. We really enjoyed our first visit, if you’re a a Sauvignon Blanc fan, I recommend flight #2. Special thanks to our server Adan, who was friendly and personable!

  24. This weekend I had my best friend baby sprinkle (baby shower) at The Grove Lakeway and it was an AMAZING experience! I live in Houston. so I had to handle everything over the phone until I was able to get there. Once I made the reservation over the phone for our party of 15 I was sent a text confirmation immediately. I loved having that level of professionalism and documentation to assure I had my reservation set. The hostesses were so nice and professional from my first phone call until the day I arrived! The manager Thomas ( I hope that’s the correct name) was sooo kind and accommodating!!! I couldn’t thank him enough for helping make her special day so beautiful! He allowed us to change our seating (more than once ) for the best possible spacing and help with lighting for the photographer. ☺️ Last but certainly not least, our sweet waitress Sarah! Sarah was stellar, superb, and attentive to all our guests needs! She even helped me while setting up with her beautiful handwriting. Sarah kept our mimosas flowing, food orders organized and arrived quickly, bills were split perfectly, and helped with anything we all needed no matter how minor it was. My friend was so pleased with the overall experience that I had to write a review. The atmosphere, food, and customer service were all a perfect 10 and I highly recommend this location! Thank you again for helping me celebrate my friend on her new journey into motherhood and exceeding her expectations!

  25. This was the perfect spot for a lunch date- a great view and a fun menu. The ceviche was fresh and delicious! We had an excellent server, Cori, who was attentive and helpful in telling us about various menu items. She came by to check on us just the right amount and was very cheerful and kind. We’re looking forward to coming back soon!

  26. Beautiful view. Great variety on the menu and wines to pair. Absolutely love this place. Good coffee too.

  27. Food was outstanding and the service was amazing, to top it off the view was spectacular! Will definitely be back!

    Lisa R. , 3 years ago
  28. Great food, great service! Ordered the salmon salad and the hand-tied burrata salad and four different bruschetta.

    Sanny C. , 3 years ago
  29. Great service and food! The tuna poke appetizer was huge and delicious. We had the fettuccine and bolognese. Super yummy! The bruschetta is good but the bread was a little too hard. Our server was delightful! Would definitely return!

  30. A pleasant dining experience with very friendly staff making for a lovely evening out. The patio seating was amazing with a view over the valley.

We asked for non-alcoholic mocktails, and were pleasantly surprised with the bartenders magic in a glass. The crab cake, and halibut were truly spectacular with the right mixture of flavors. I specially loved how the Thai green-curry flavors worked with the crusted halibut. If you are of asian descent, I would avoid the spicy Asian noodles, as it wasn’t something to write home.

I have to give special mention to the upside down pineapple cake. Definitely a dish that must be experienced.

Though a bit on the pricey end, the quality and atmosphere makes it all worth it.

    Reiley J. , 3 years ago
  31. Wonderful view and food. Most importantly our server Adan was top notch. Always there when you needed him but not over bearing. I look forward to his service for the next time we visit.

    George , 3 years ago
  32. I love the Grove Lakeway, I love seating out on the patio and having some wine and enjoying the beautiful view of the hill country. A lot of options on the menu for everyone even gluten-free pizza. They have an excellent happy hour menu.
    The upside-down cake it’s a must.

    Andrea M. , 3 years ago
  33. Good food and wonderful views! Highly recommend this Grove.

    Ali S. , 3 years ago
  34. Fantastic lunch with views to die for. Food was amazing and will worth the visit. Place was packed and busy (always a good sign for a restaurant) and would highly recommend.

    Jesse M. , 4 years ago
  35. A really nice spot to enjoy the view of the valley in Lakeway. Their brunch menu is full of delicious options and the space has a good vibe.

    Ahmed A. , 4 years ago
  36. The food is delicious and the menu has something for every diet type! The staff is friendly, and prices are very reasonable, and the view is gorgeous!

    Criss D. , 4 years ago
  37. I got the Sesame Ahi Tuna Salad. It was so delicious! It came with tangerine orange, avocado, marinated seaweed, mixed green cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, wonton crisp, ponzu, and sambal ginger vinaigrette.

I also ordered the Fire Roasted Tomato Shrimp Bisque. It tasted so amazing.

And Flight #2 wine taster was good.

    Joy L. , 4 years ago
  38. Fabulous lunch looking out at the expanse off rooling hills of Lakeway. Had the muscles with mushroom soup and found both to be delicious.

  39. The Grove Wine Bar, in Lakeway has a special weekend brunch that had some pretty incredible sounding entrees we had seen on IG for quite sometime!

We were gonna be in the area and decided it was a must that we stop in!!! We’re so glad that we did!!!

The outside seating during COVID was phenomenal!! We enjoyed seeing all the fun champagne flights go by and everyone with smiles on their faces as they enjoyed the food!!

We had the Fried Chicken and Crème Brulèe French Toast: It was a Butter milk Fried Chicken, Challah Bread, Peach Marmalade, Maple Syrup
**The Chicken was super juicy with a slight crunch, the bread was nice and fluffy and the peach marmalade mixed with the chicken reminded me of a sweet and sour sauce feel where there is a mix of sweetness and tang.

Sunrise Flatbread Pizza: Two sunny side eggs, bacon, mozzarella, fontina, garlic, texas olive oil, dressed arugula, shaved parmesan, hollandaise.
**Loved the thin texture of the flatbread and the peppery arugula. The hollandaise was deliciously buttery and eggs cooked perfectly. Reminded me of eating a fancier version of egg on sourdough toast as w child.

The service and ambiance was phenomenal and when looking at their regular menu it was hard not to order more!

Definitely check them out and add them to your list if you’re in the area!

    Samantha J. , 4 years ago
  40. Simply amazing! Started with a flight of wine and a nice ciabatta bread appetizer. Honestly it was great. They seated us in one of the best seats in the place right on the balcony. After the appetizer the main course was excellent. I had a summer pasta dish and I ate the entire bowl. Great service and great food.

  41. Amazing view, atmosphere and food. Love the place from threshold, beautiful display of bottle corks on the wall. Staff are very friendly and our server Sergio C was very helpful. We ordered Ahi Tuna and Salmon salad , everything was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this place and for sure will be back soon!!!!

    Kristina B. , 4 years ago
  42. Service was great. We sat by the window on a chilly afternoon. Mimosas were inexpensive and delicious and generous. Mushroom soup was a must try. Lots of gluten free options. We would come back.

  43. Roe, our fabulous and wonderful waitress made our family dinner so enjoyable while dining out at Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen in Lakeway. She was extremely attentive, and detail-oriented, and could tell she enjoys helping her customers. Since we loved the food and service at another Grove location, we were excited to find one with spectacular views from the patio and inside the dining area. Definitely 5 stars for all categories and will be back soon!

    Robin H. , 4 years ago
  44. Forgot our server’s name, but she was such a sweet gal, and service was impeccable. Their salads are amazing, and I am not generally a fan of salads. Kids were satisfied, tables were distanced, and patio was a great spot for our party of 6.

    Ashley W. , 5 years ago
  45. The patio seating at this place is awesome! We went on a chilly evening but wanted to enjoy the view of the valley from the hilltop patio and we were glad to feel the warm air from the heater above our table. The customer service was great from the host, to the servers and the assistants.

    Francisco T. , 5 years ago
  46. Great food at a place that makes upscale feel like no-frills. The breathtaking view helps a lot too.

The Bolognese really grew on us. It’s pretty muted and not in-your-face initially, but builds up as you keep eating it. My two year old nearly devoured the whole thing.

The Brussels sprouts small plate is well balanced with apples and pecans.

The BBQ chicken pizza was a little “over the top”, by which I mean it had a little too much topping. Still pretty decent though.

    Arun D. , 6 years ago
  47. Nice neighborhood spot!! Beautiful views. Great lunch specials.

    Jenna B. , 9 years ago
  48. Excellent food, great wine selection, top notch service. First time here but I am now going to be a regular!

    Matthew H. , 9 years ago
  49. Great dinner here last night–a Bloody Mary at happy hour, Caesar salad and crab cake, glass of good white wine for $40! Great service and ambiance. We’ll be back!

    Margaret M. , 9 years ago
  50. Awesome place. Great view. I had shrimp capellini and we had the bruschetta (you pick 3 different interesting combinations) which was fantastic. Definitely will be visiting again. Our server James was wonderful as well.

    Dakotah G. , 9 years ago
  51. Never had a bad meal at The Grove. The bruschetta is excellent and this evening I had chicken pasta with rosemary cream sauce, it was delicious. We were seated immediately and the server was very attentive. Will definitely be going again.

Came here for my birthday on Friday. Excellent food and service and Thank You for the birthday treat!!!!!

    Helen J. , 9 years ago
  52. My husband and I dined at the Lakeway location for brunch last Saturday. Especially pleased with the crab cakes Benedict, which our server suggested. James was attentive and welcoming. The manager stopped by to check on us as well. The view and atmosphere are amazing! Overall, a great experience. We will absolutely return often and recommend to others.

    Kimberly R. , 9 years ago
  53. Very consistent! Very knowledgeable staff! Love the pizza and the flights of wine! Parking sometimes is a challenge but it’s worth it. I always recommend it in Lakeway.

    Tahnya G. , 9 years ago
  54. I came here a few months ago with friends while visiting from out of state. We had gorgeous weather, a fantastic view, and wonderful food. Three of us tried the mimosa flight and really loved that unique idea. The chicken and waffles were the crowd favorite, but I also enjoyed my first ever over easy egg flatbread brunch pizza. (See photos.)

I would definitely return for another brunch session and would really like to check out their dinner menu. It would be quite a beautiful spot for a romantic wine dinner. Fun fact: the coffee shop next door is affiliated with the restaurant, so they bring up the coffee drinks from there.

    Brie G. , 9 years ago
  55. Once again, an amazing meal at the Grove. Bolognese, Reed’s salad and key lime pie. Service is great and if you love eating outdoors, the lakeway location has beautiful views.

    Shannon M. , 9 years ago
  56. Always consistent. Always good. Never had a bad meal at the Grove! Tonight, we share the Reed’s salad, gluten-free Bolognese and Keylime pie while enjoying dirty martinis.

    Larry M. , 9 years ago
  57. The best meal I ate on my trip to Austin most certainly was at The Grove. The service was excellent and our waitress was very attentive. The restaurant has an incredible view and serves a delicious array of wine and food.

We arrived during happy hour and I enjoyed the house’s red blend. As for food, we started off with bruschetta. We ordered the House Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese, Herbs bruschetta; the Avocado-Bacon Aioli, Roasted Tomato, Arugula, and Balsamic bruschetta; and the Figs, Brie, and Julienned Apples. My favorite of all was the smoked salmon bruschetta, but I may be biased because I LOVE smoked salmon.

For my meal, I shared the medium Mediterranean pizza with my mom. Maybe the wine had already gotten to me but this pizza was AMAZING. I didn’t want to stop eating it, and I was still thinking about it three days later.

I am so heartbroken that Houston doesn’t have this restaurant!
