We recently had Good Guys Tree Service out to our house, and everything was great from start to finish. Jose initially visited to survey our trees and give us an estimate, and he was courteous and fair. Josh and his crew then came out a few days later and did a fast and fantastic job of trimming our trees and clearing out some branches that were scraping our roof. These guys are awesome and we highly recommend them.

We were still in need of some tree cleanup since the Feb. 2023 ice storm. I called Good Guys and they called me back within minutes to schedule the estimate. Sean came out the next day and did a thorough walk thru of the trees, showed what could be done, gave options and shared a lot of helpful knowledge. Within an hour they called to schedule the cleanup the following day. Plus when the crew came they were extremely nice and performed everything very efficiently. They took care of our surrounds and cleaned everything. Couldn’t have based for better service!

Good Guys tree service really are good guys. They did the estimate quickly and professionally and charged a fair price. They did the job the same day, because they had a cancellation. I’m very pleased with the results, they cleared out a lot of branches and some small trees quickly and efficiently and cleaned up thoroughly. I’ll hire them again when I need help with clearing trees and brush and I highly recommend them.

Used them to fertilize and trim back a few younger trees. Great work and experience overall, met with extimator and contracted service was completed 2 days later.

Edit: Would give 6 out of 5 stars if I could. The company rep came back out afterwards to verify everything was completed as expected. Great follow up. He also cleared out the mulch build up around the base of the tree to improve overall tree health and shared a few related tips for tree care. Everyting we had originally discussed was completed above expectations. A great experience overall.

Sean Hager gave me the best experience I’ve ever had with an arborist and tree-cutting crew. Sean was incredibly knowledgable about trees, and as a family man, he gave me sound advice on how to keep my kids, my yard, and my home safe from future tree-related problems and landscaping headaches. He apologized for nerding out on trees, but it only showed his passion for his work and commitment to me as a customer and I really appreciated it. His tree cutting crew at Good Guys were also incredibly nice, professional, and fast. I’ve had a lot of crews come through but Sean and his team were simply the best. Good Guys is also very fairly priced. I HIGHLY recommend this business for any kind of tree service. Top notch. Bravo.

I hired GGTS to trim six trees on my property. They did a great job of informing me of their pending arrival, they showed up on time, they trimmed branches until I was satisfied and then they did a thorough job of clean-up. I would definitely use them again.

Michael and his team were fantastic! I met with Michael to discuss exactly how I wanted my front and back yard to be trimmed, he took photos and gave me an estimate on the spot. They were in and out and took all the trimmings. Definitely the best experience we’ve had with tree trimmers. They were very professional and a great price. I highly recommend them!

I got three quotes and GoodGuys was easily the best value. When I got home, everything was cleaned up, everything was professionally trimmed and the cuts were treated. I was excited to see how much better and larger my trees looked when the canopies were trimmed up.

I have 6 large live oaks on my property that needed deadwood removal and trimming. Did some research and based on the reviews, I called Good Guys for an estimate. After speaking with Sean, I decided to use Good Guys and I’m very pleased with the results. I’m very cautious with work done on these trees and the crew (8 or 9 of them) spent quite a bit of time going over what I wanted cut and provided recommendations for what to cut and what to leave. It took less than 3 hours and they did an excellent job.

Sean & the crews worked diligently and fast to remove a large tree in the front yard and trim other trees in the side & backyard and cleaned up all debris. Returned a very few days later to removed stump and cleaned up front after stump removal. This is the second time we’ve used Good Guys because they are friendly, professional and reasonable costs. I would highly recommend them.

My experience with GGTS has been amazing, I have been using their services for 3 years now and they are the best out there hands down.

Sean is a super star, he is very responsive and knows his craft, very professional, always looking to add value to his clients, great knowledge and experience.

Lat but not least, the crew that has serve my property is world class, very respectful of the property, very friendly and always takes care of my questions/comments.

The name of the company says it all. I worked with Sean and he wears the logo on his sleeve! We bought our first house back in 2022 and I tried trimming the 2 big live oaks in the front yard myself. ‘‘Twas an all day affair even with an extension chain saw, I likely won’t attempt it myself again. Good guys made it so simple with fast, professional and convenient service.

They even gave me some great tree care advice and reassured me the baby swing was in a safe spot outlining clear instructions to monitor the health of the limb.

We were very pleased with the service that we received all the way from the initial estimate with Wendell and ending with the follow up service by Josh. They were very courteous and professional. The quality was excellent and the value was exceptional.
And being supporters of St. Jude was the added blessing to their service. They are exceptional folks to work with.
We have a very large heritage oak tree, perhaps 300 to 350 years old. They were exceptionally proud to work on this tree, and treated it with the same care that we do personally.

Highly recommend this company for communication, reasonable pricing, customer service, and outstanding work! We’ve now used them three times over a number of years both for major jobs and clean-up ones, and it has been great establishing a relationship with and trust in them. Great job by Good Guys last week. Had to reschedule a couple times because of the arctic blast we recently had, but Good Guys kept me informed and prioritized my rescheduled. Sean from Good Guys came to my home and provided an estimate for tree trimming and roof line clearing, focusing on a large oak tree in my backyard that damaged my roof. Sean was highly knowledgeable, professional, and patient. He also offered a very reasonable quote for the work.

Today, the crew arrived to begin the job, and they did an outstanding job. All of my trees were well-trimmed, and the work area was thoroughly cleaned. My wife and I are delighted to have worked with them.

Could not be happier with Good Guys Tree Service from start to finish. They came highly recommended from a friend who has used them for years on many homes and they didn’t disappoint.

From Michael’s first visit, he was on time, professional, explained everything well, worked with us to meet our budget and answered every question. On removal day they showed up and put on a show. 8 guys showed up with Michael and a supervisor to do a walk through and make sure we were all on the same page. In only one hour they removed a 12” cedar elm, trimmed 3 large trees over our roof, hauled everything off and cleaned up everything on the ground. We couldn’t believe how fast and efficient they were. We just sat in the window and watched in awe.

If you need your trees trimmed or removed, there’s no other company you should look at. Worth the money.

Special thanks to Nick at Good Guys for going above & beyond to make sure I was a happy customer. Nick did such a great/thorough job of scoping the work needed to trim all my trees & providing a great price, I gave him the job without getting any competitive quotes. He met my budgeted price, & he came across as very honest, & I knew I could trust him.
He also called me after the job was completed, & came by with his own pole saw to personally take care of a couple additional branches I decided I wasnted to be removed & didn’t charge me.
5 stars for Good Guys Tree Service…great price, great work, thorough clean up, great follow up, and honest/professional team.

This is my 3rd year using Good Guys for tree service. They are always reliable, reasonable, proactive and professional. Michael was very thorough when giving the initial estimate and ensured the service contracted met expectations. The trees always look great when they are finished and they leave no debris behind. Having Good Guys keep my trees trimmed has also prevented any loss of limbs and damage during the icy winter weather we now seem to get annually. Highly recommend.

Don came out to review our project. He shared so much helpful information regarding care of our live oaks. The quoted price was fair and scheduling very simple. The crew of 8-10 guys were very fast and did a great job of pruning and cleaning up the debris. Our trees look great. We are very pleased and happy we chose Good Guys!

I needed to get my roof line cleared before getting a new roof and I also wanted to get all my trees cleaned up from the ice storm this past February. After talking to several tree trimmers and getting several estimates, I decided to go with Good Guys. Sean was very responsive, came out and reviewed the work I wanted to get done. He promptly sent me an estimate which was quite reasonable and then worked to get me on the schedule in a very short time. A nine man Good Guys crew arrived right when they said they would. They did a great job trimming all of my 10-11 trees in no time at all. Sean was here with them the whole time and made sure that the work got done to my satisfaction. We have had tree work done by several companies over the past 30 years. Good Guys Tree Service is by far, the best. Our job had 9 guys working on it and everything was done perfectly. From the removal of volunteer trees and dead wood to trimming, pruning, care recommendations, and clean-up…it all went great! The guys were friendly, helpful, and hard-working. I am so glad I went with Good Guys for our tree service! Requested a quote online on Sunday, got a call and scheduled a quote for Tuesday. Sean was informative, friendly, professional -he made sure I knew what had to be done and what would be unnecessary. Ultimately, the quote came under a previous quote by over $1,000. Had enough to get some tree supplements added to help with the drought. By 12pm, I had received a call from the office with an offer to send a team out THAT afternoon because they had a cancelation. Marcus and his team of about 10 guys arrived on time, and wow – they were SO fast. I think it took them only 1 hour to complete all the work, clean up the yard, and put back all our patio furniture. Marcus checked in with us a few times to explain what they were doing, which was unnecessary but totally appreciated. Honestly, I’m so relieved because now I know for maintenance or any type of emergency, I know I could call Good Guys and be taken care of. Will never look elsewhere for tree service as long as I live in their service area!

I had Good Guys come out and give me an estimate to remove a Bradford Pear and look at pruning an Oak tree. James was knowledgeable and pointed out issue with the Oak that another company missed.
I was given a quote during the visit and accepted it. Their crew as able to be out the next day and take down the Bradford in 25 minutes. The crew was great and took care cleaning up after the removal. I will use them again in the future.

Josh and his crew from Good Guys Tree Service came out to remove a giant Live Oak tree that died over the freeze couple months ago in my front yard. They performed the removal within 20 minutes and did a great job removing all the debris after the removal. I highly recommend people to use Good Guys Tree Service for any tree removal request.

After the Freezing winter we experienced this past Hoilday Season, my husband and I decided to contact Good Guys Tree Service. They did an Amazing Job for us in the Past so I didn’t hesitate to call. From my first contact with their office I was impressed and my appointment was quickly scheduled without any issue. Michael Rodriguez sent me a text message the afternoon before to introduce himself and to verify that we were still available the next day for our appointment. I confirmed and he kept me updated on his arrival time ! He arrived, as promised, and my husband and I went over some of the concerns. We were troubled about quite a few Broken Branches and a few of our Oak Tree Branches that seem to be ‘Sagging’. Mike was extremely Informative with his Expertise on Native Oak Trees. He explained to us how some of the branches ‘dip’ down and grow outward looking for Sunlight which becomes obstructed by the multiple branches above. He also pointed out to us that it is ‘Not Advisable’ to have Rocks around the base of Oak Trees. He noticed some of our trees out in the front of our home were closely surrounded by medium sized rocks. He explained that Oak Trees need Air and Clear Soil at their base. Large rocks inhibit these trees from getting the nutrition, air and water they need. Mike is taking courses to become a Certified Arborist and we Truly Appreciated his Information ! We really enjoyed meeting this gentleman who is extremely friendly and informative. Thank You Mike for really knowing your business. We have hired Good Guys to take care of our issues with our trees this coming July, and we know they will do an Outstanding Job !

We used Good Guys Tree Service for three trees on our property that had a lot of large dead branches. We just bought the house and the neighbors had mentioned these trees had been this way since the freeze last year. They did a great job clearing away all the dead branches and pruning the live branches that were hitting our house or too low to the ground. They were efficient and were open to some negotiation and price matching so we got a great deal for the service. The biggest draw was the fact that they have their own insurance as well. We will definitely be using them in the future.

I needed two trees trimmed in my backyard – a cedar and a live oak. I was going to call around but I ended up getting service right when I called while other companies went to voicemail. They were able to schedule a quote visit for me the next day so I figured I’d just give them a try before calling another company too. The quoter was so nice! He said they could be out in the next week or so to do the work. I ended up getting a call the following evening that they could be out the next day. Everything was completed within 3 days! Prices were reasonable, they were fast and my trees look great!

This is a locally owned company and the customer service they delivered to me was OUTSTANDING! I discovered I needed a quick response for some Oak trimming to get under the deadline of 1/31. I discovered limbs banging on my roof. Good Guys got out the same day I called (1/30), gave me a quote and got me scheduled for trimming the next day, the 1/31 deadline. Then it got crazy. Their driver forgot his license so he couldn’t get in my gated community. Their office called to see if they could reschedule. When I explained the deadline we had, he said they would scramble to get a different crew out. I left the house to grab lunch and my car died on me. While waiting for a wrecker the security gate called to tell me the Good Guys crew was at the gate. I asked to speak to the driver and explained my car problem and what I needed trimmed. He said no problem and went on with the job. The tree was trimmed perfectly for what was needed and everything was cleaned up when I finally got home. They did a great job and went ahead and preformed the work knowing they would not be anyone there to pay them. I called their office on Monday clear my bill. If I ever need tree work in the future this is the only company I will call.

Good Guys Tree Service is an excellent company. We live in Lakeway and have over 30 Oak trees on our property. Tim came out and assessed our requirements and gave us a detailed proposal and fair price. Jose and his crew (total 4) came and did the tree service work. They are excellent in all aspects – exactly on time, very professional, very knowledgeable regarding pruning Oaks, they follow all the proper Oak pruning procedures, and did a thorough clean up. Jose walked the yard with us to make sure everything was completed to our satisfaction. We recommend Good Guys Tree Service to others without any hesitation or reservation.

We have used Good Guys twice now for tree trimming – three years ago and again this year. They do excellent work and are very responsive. The “climbers” are amazing to watch up in the trees. We have a lot of large live oak trees and an iconic heritage live oak that I wouldn’t trust to just anyone to touch. Good Guys do great work. And they offered us a reasonable discount as a repeat client which was nice.

I had a great experience with Good Guys. A super nice certified arborist came to do a free estimate. He was really knowledgeable and had good reasons for all of his recommendations. About a week later, the team came. They were on time, fast, professional, did everything that was in the estimate exactly as stated, and cleaned up leaving almost no trace — except great looking trees trimmed back from the roof and opening up the view on our backyard. We had a couple trees removed so a few days later the stump grinder came and took care of that. Everyone including the office staff is smart, friendly and professional. We’ll be using them again!

This is the second year we have used Good Guys Tree Service and, just like the previous experience, we could not ask for more.

We have a number of trees in our yard and some of them were encroaching on the roof line.

They arrived on time, took care of the job quickly and cleaned up even picking up fallen leaves.

These guys are great, not awesome, but great! They easily got the best price, come out and did their job IN ONE AFTERNOON! almost EXACTLY what I want from a company. The ONLY THING, this is a very small, almost tiny, “elbow to the ribs”, could you have come faster?

They did it in 4 days, because I called on a Sunday…..

Initial consultation was friendly and helpful. The consultant arrived on time. I was charged the exact same amount I was quoted, no hidden fees. They removed a dying cedar tree, trimmed up two others, and trimmed an elm tree off the house. All the work was done in a day and they hauled off all debris and cleaned the yard. Very happy with the result!

I had three large trees that needed to be cut down that were growing very close to my house and my neighbors house, and I was very impressed with Good Guys from start to finish. They were very prompt in getting an estimate, scheduling, and following through with the service. Their quote was very reasonable, and they even threw in a few more minor trimming services for free. I was nervous about damage to my house or my neighbor’s house, but they were very careful throughout the whole process. They also cleaned my back and front porch areas. Like, not just removed the debris, literally blew off all leaves, and cleaned off my roof and excess leaves in my gutters. They left things cleaner than when they arrived, even in areas where they weren’t even working. They will definitely be my go to for all future tree needs!

We have a koi pond in our backyard and they did a great job to not get any limbs, leaves or branches into the pond. They also recommended a good cut for a big tree. Afterwards we were pleased with how things looked and how cleaned up everything was. And they were fast too.

OMG such GREAT SERVICE !!! My husband and I recently moved here to Lakeway and we needed two trees removed (not oaks !!that were older with branches that hung over into our neighbors yard) there were also stumps that were left above ground that are a real liability! We contacted ‘Good Guys Tree Service’ and from my first phone call to Amber, it’s been a phenomenal experience ! Brian came over to assess our project within a week of my call and wow he’s super knowledgeable!! He knew everything about trees and was so honest ! He sent us the estimate the very next day and we hired their company! Their service was extremely reasonable, to say the least ! They contacted me to notify us that they were super busy due to the recent storms, but would work us in this week !! As promised, Jason came with his crew and we discussed the project. I went back into my home and after about an hour I decided I would go out to see them ‘felling’ the trees! They were done !! I couldn’t believe it ! All cleaned up, trees gone, stumps cut down below ground level ! I’m a little upset, I’m sorry I didn’t get to see them cut everything down, their amazing !!! I asked them if ‘Samantha from Bewitched’ was a part of their crew !! They Laughed Great Job !!!

We just had the Good Guys out to trim our trees and they were very efficient and trimmed 4 trees and cleaned up in less than 2 hours. Their price was better than a couple of others we had at the house and did not have to pay until the job was complete. Would definitely recommend and will be using them again in couple of years.

We have lived in Austin for 16 years and have had our trees trimmed several times by many different vendors. None of these vendors did a job good enough to earn our repeat business. That all changed today with Good Guys Tree Service. We had them raise the canopy, remove dead limbs and moss balls and thin out. Our trees look fantastic! Good Guys were very easy to work with, professional, timely, cost competitive and the clean up was immaculate. They far exceeded our expectations. We enthusiastically recommend them!

We interviewed a few trimming companies in the area for 3-oak trees. Good guys came out, gave a bid, was very informative on work to be done, scheduled an appointment quickly. Bid was the lowest so we chose Good Guys due to they’re excellent reviews.

Phenomenal service. They do all the hard work that you do not want to do and they are worth every single penny. Quick work, non stop and now you see why they are so skinny! I had them remove two sago palms, cut back a cedar tree and remove trees and branches that were encroaching on my driveway. I also had them remove several piles of tree branches/debris from the previous homeowner. I would hire them again in an instant.
