René attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. René started her nursing career in the Emergency Room, but found her passion in facial plastic surgery and has been working with Buckingham Center for Facial Plastic Surgery since 2006. Over the years, at Buckingham Center, René has trained closely with Dr. Buckingham and assisted in surgical procedures which has given her a deep understanding of facial anatomy that is not accessible to all injectors. René has attended numerous aesthetic injectable courses all over the world, including the internationally acclaimed Master Class with Julie Horne at the Swiss Aesthetic Institute. Sarah Morse, R.N.
Sarah Morse has been a Registered Nurse since 2018, where she attended New Mexico State University, and graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. Sarah began her career as a Labor and Delivery nurse and found her love for the aesthetic field when she moved to Austin and joined the Buckingham Center in 2021. Sarah was able to begin her career in aesthetics by assisting Dr. Buckingham and Dr. Smith as a surgical nurse, while also training and shadowing closely with the MDs and Rene’ on both injectable and laser treatments. Over the last two years, Sarah has continued her education by attending three National Sciton Laser Summits as well as the American Academy for Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Annual meeting. Sarah offers both laser and injectable treatments which include: BBL, Moxi, Halo, Radiofrequency Microneedling, Botox, Dysport, Daxxify, Sculptra, as well as fillers from Juvederm, Galderma, and Revance. Sarah will help to create a treatment plan that will best meet your aesthetic goals while also keeping you looking natural and refreshed.

Nicole Elek, R.N.
Nicole moved to Austin, Texas from Whitefish, Montana in 2015. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Concordia University Texas before beginning her nursing career in the Intensive Care Unit. She found a love for aesthetics after joining the Buckingham Center team as an OR nurse, alongside Dr. Buckingham and Dr. Smith. Through this she found the beauty and importance of helping patients feel just as beautiful on the outside, as they are on the inside.

Shortly after, she started practicing as an aesthetic nurse provider, specializing in laser treatments. Nicole provides a variety of laser treatments such as; Broad Band Light (BBL), Moxi, Halo, and Radiofrequency Microneedling.

She has attended multiple Sciton Laser Seminars and Advanced Laser Trainings, expanding her knowledge to provide her patients with skillful, safe, and advanced treatments that are tailored to meet her patients’ specific skin goals so they look and feel their best.

Dr. Smith is the absolute best at treating someone with facial paralysis. (if you suffer from FP please read her bio and see her before and after pics). The entire team is always friendly and attentive to their patients. I drive almost 2 hrs for my appointments and I will continue to do so.

I’ve been receiving micro needling facials from Sarah for two months now, and she is fabulous. She treats me so well and makes me feel comfortable. The entire staff is kind and accommodating. This place is a luxury experience and worth every penny.

P.s. I asked for a tea this morning at my appointment and was served an actual platter with a biscotti and the whole ordeal. They make me feel like a princess every time I visit!

A year ago I my husband and I decided on upper and lower lid surgery and we are so pleased with the outcome. Dr. Buckingham is truly the best at his craft. I also saw Rachel for derma filler in the office this past week. She and the staff are so professional and accommodating. They have since moved into their fabulous new office. It is stunning and calming at the same time. The reason I gave 5 stars is because I really think they deserve it! I will always recommend them! Thanks Dr. Buckingham and team!

Dr Buckingham and his staff were amazing! I needed repair for my broken nose and he did an amazing job. My nose looks better than before I broke it! The care and expertise I experienced was more than I could ask for. I would also recommend them for cosmetic treatments too. I was very pleased with the lower facelift I had done by Dr. Buckingham in 2010, so when I started feeling some heaviness on my upper eyelids I decided to talk to him about blepharoplasty along with facial fat transfer to eliminate the sunken look from loss of volume around the eyes. The procedure was very easy and downtime was much easier than I thought since sunglasses covered everything. I was up and around the next day. His staff is wonderful and I always feel comfortable going to his office. I also appreciate being able to see before and after pictures from his website because I always know what to expect and I am never disappointed. I will definitely see him for any other facial plastic surgery needs.

After extensive research I chose to visit Dr. Buckingham for a revision of a previous rhinoplasty. At the time I lived in San Antonio but felt that the drive and time was worth the comfort of having a true expert complete my surgery. It has now been roughly about 5 months since my surgery and I could not be HAPPIER!!!

Throughout the entire process I felt very included in my care and well taken care of. Each step of the process I knew exactly what to expect next.

A very large melanoma required the removal of much of my right cheek June 2012. Needless to say I did extensive research for doctors. The remarkable Dr. Susan Dozier excised my tumor. She recommended Dr. Buckingham for the complex facial reconstruction. There was risk of my lower eyelid having a permanent droop. I was a difficult patient; vain, untrusting, traumatized by the diagnosis, fearful of facing the world again. But since recovery, I attest to Dr. Buckingham having done a fantastic job restoring my face (and dealing with my attitude)!! You would never guess I had a cheek removed. HIs artistry gave me a life of no self-consciousness concerning my facial appearance. That’s big, because I face an audience. I thank him every time I look in the mirror.

Could not have asked for a more pleasant and professional experience. Dr. Buckingham’s recommendations based on my presented concerns were spot on and my results are beyond what I could have hoped for. I felt very secure throughout my experience because both him and his entire staff are extremely attentive and ooze competency. Want to give a shout out to Renee as well..she is amazing. I would also like to add that I noticed that the negative reviews are done by yelpers that have no friends and no defined profile. Hrm……….. Not sure I would want to consider what a faceless, nameless person with no friends thinks. Can’t say enough good things, doing something as scary as surgery and having such wonderful results is great as it is. But the kicker is that I knew I would have great results because of the time and attention Dr. Buckingham gave to me and my procedure.

Dr. Buckingham has been my doctor for three years. He performed reconstructive rhino septoplasty and turbinoplasty on my crooked nose. He is the only doctor I would trust to do such a procedure! I even visited several doctors in the Dallas area, but I had a gut feeling to go with Dr. Buckingham. He really cares about his patients, and their long term results. He is a genuine person who is a skillful surgeon and true artist. You can tell this by his results that are natural looking and attribute to the best appearance of the person. Not to mention, the office staff and nurses are very receptive. They answered every phone call, email, and fax to address every concern I had. You really want a responsive and attentive surgeon’s office when you have such operations. I recommend Dr. Buckingham to anyone who is looking to have a facial plastic procedure.

After having multiple procedures done by Dr B a few years ago, I was looking up his phone number and came across these reviews. I feel like it’s my duty to add my experience to uphold his sterling reputation. I had done extensive research before choosing a cosmetic surgeon, I could have used anyone in the country from New York to LA but I chose Dr Buckingham for his extensive experience in fat grafting. He is a upmost perfectionist and a highly skilled surgeon, plus these guys also have to be an artist to truly master their craft.
He has perfect bedside manor, deeply cares and listens to his patients.
I feel like the negative reviews were written by people that have this man confused with another or have unrealistic expectations of what cosmetic surgery can actually achieve.

Three years ago I consulted with Dr. Buckingham for a way to reduce the triple-chin that embarrassed me. I was antsy as I had never considered elective surgery previously. He took time to outline the procedure and probable results and to show me in-house photos (with patient’s permission) of previous results.

I was reassured by his professional demeanor, impressive training and concentration on facial surgery only. I also liked his thoughtful responses to my questions. His staff is equally professional and caring.

The results of his expertise exceeded my wildest expectations… The triple chin is gone but the result is not tight nor disproportionate. I would always recommend Dr. Buckingham with the highest words of praise for every aspect of his skill, caring attitude, professionalism and surgical results.

Dr. Edward Buckingham is my hero!!
I just looked at some negative reviews here, and I feel like he is being rigged! This talented, amazing doctor gave me my life back. I had an extremely twisted, ugly nasal tip, and I needed nose revision surgery. I was afraid to be operated on (again) however, after doing a lot of research on the procedure, and after meeting Dr. Buckingham, and his extremely professional, sweet staff- I chose Dr. Buckingham. And thank goodness I did! I have a beautiful, well sculpted little nose that looks perfect to me. I love the woman I see in the mirror now! I always used to cover my nose when I looked at myself! My husband and friends hail him as a wizard.
Dr. Buckingham is a very serious, focused specialist in his area. He only performs work on the face. As he is serious, he is also very kind and reassuring, and when he walks into the room, and you look into his eyes- you know that he cares. He cares about his patients, and everyone around him.
