Lakeway Parks Celebration Day

Saturday, September 27, 2025 is a special day here in Lakeway as we celebrate TWO new additions to our parks system with a ribbon cutting for a new bridge in the Hamilton Greenbelt and our new playscape at the Lakeway Activity Center.

We invite you to also start the day off at the Lakeway Activity Center for our Indoor Garage Sale (VISIT THIS LINK) and participate in our Cornhole Tournament (SIGN UP HERE) at Lakeway City Park. Scroll down for details about the ribbon cuttings taking place. We hope to see you at these events!

Rainbow Bridge Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting (8:30AM)
Join us at 8:30 AM for the Rainbow Bridge Ribbon Cutting at the Hamilton Greenbelt Trails. Attendees will meet at the Hamilton Greenbelt entrance off Lohmans Crossing Road (yellow dot on map) and walk to the new pedestrian bridge for the ceremony.

There will be complimentary pet giveaway items while supplies last. The bridge is a place of love and remembrance, and dedicated to the special bond we share with our pets. You’ll be able to place your pet’s collar on the railing of the bridge to help keep their memory alive. We hope you can join us for this special ribbon cutting ceremony, and take time to enjoy the beauty of the Hamilton Greenbelt.

Activity Center Park Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting (4PM)
Join us at 4 PM in the courtyard at the Lakeway Activity Center for a walk over to the *NEW* Activity Center Park for the Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting of our new playscape! Lakeway City Council, the Rotary Club of Lakeway/Lake Travis, and many others from the community will be present for the official opening of the new park, which is the first project complete as part of the 2024 Parks Bond approved by Lakeway voters. We’ll also serve Kona Ice, and you’ll have a chance to try out the new equipment. We hope you can join us!
