Butch Hancock is a legendary Texas singer-songwriter known for his poetic lyrics, dry wit, and deep philosophical insight.

Born in Lubbock in 1945, he emerged in the 1970s alongside Joe Ely and Jimmie Dale Gilmore as part of the iconic country-folk trio The Flatlanders.
