The Malibu M220 is the ultimate wake surf boat and the most high end model wake charter boat available on Lake Austin. Malibu didn’t sacrifice anything on the luxury, performance, and innovative features for this high end model boat. We used them for a bachelorette trip and it was so much fun! Captain was great and accommodating. The boat came with speakers, a floating pad, an ice chest, and ice. Captain was nice enough to take us to a store on the river when we ran out of drinks.

The boat we rented was in impeccable condition—clean, well-maintained, and it came with all the amenities you could possibly need for a day out on the water. It’s clear that Big Tex Boat Rentals takes pride in maintaining their fleet.

The process for returning the boat was just as seamless as the pick-up. A team member was waiting for us at the dock, assisted us with unloading, and made sure we were satisfied with our experience before we left.

10/10 would recommend! We went for my sister’s bachelorette trip and the captain was really great and easy to get along with. He cared about our safety around other anchored boats and even swam kinda far when one of our inner tubes flew off the boat. If you’re looking for a fun addition to your Austin trip this is it!!!

What a fun outing with friends! Charlie (Charles) was our captain and he made our experience that much more memorable. I had an excellent experience working with Corbin. My friend was looking to rent a boat for a ladies’ outing and he made the booking process simple and worked with us on accommodating a few special requests. Big Tex Boat Rental was an awesome experience for our bachelor party weekend. We rented a pontoon for a group of 6 guys and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We went to Lake Travis since they recommended Party Cove and there were tons of other parties when we were there on a Friday afternoon. Corbin was super helpful in coordinating everything and answering any questions we had. Captain Joe was professional, but also a genuinely great guy to have for our group. He made sure we had a good time and honestly we were sad to say goodbye when he got back to the dock. Definitely recommend Big Tex Boat Rentals for any occasion down in Austin!

Could not have been a better experience. This boat has everything! It has plenty of room, it is very clean, has speakers, cooler, floats for the water etc. Corbin knows his way around the lake and how to have a good time. Super nice to have someone that can keep us safe yet keep us having fun. If you are a group you have to book with them! I planned a bachelor party and a friend who who did Big Tex recommended this excusion. Very simple booking process online. FAQ provided information and an easy communication method. The company said how to get to the park and where to walk to board the pontoon. Captain Corbin was very professional and even had a dog onboard. The pontoon was clean, lily pads, sound blue tooth speaker, and a large cooler filled with ice. We tied up with several pontoons in Devil’s Cove. It was a phenomenal day on the lake! 10/10

If you are looking for a captained boat rental in Austin, look no further. Corbin is fantastic!

From initial research through the booking process his level of communication was outstanding. Prior to our rental day, he answered all our questions, gave great detailed instructions and maintained communication right up to us boarding the boat.

The boat was huge and spotless. Had a large cooler (with ice) for our food and drinks. He asked us how we wanted to spend the day on the lake and then proceeded to do exactly what we asked.

After being out on the lake and seeing what other companies have to offer he by far had the nicest boat on the water.

Several of us have been on boats before and we all felt his level of experience and professionalism was superb. Corbin was very accommodating and committed to ensuring our group had a memorable experience.

Big Tex Boat Rentals literally went the extra mile to make sure we were able to get on the water! With the current Covid issue most parks and boat ramps are closed or closing and we were worried. Big Tex kept us informed and managed to make sure we were able to get on the water. The boat was very nice, clean and had plenty of room for our group of 10. The sound system was awesome and we were able to use our playlist . The boat we were on had a huge swim platform and a Lily Pad with plenty of floats. The Captain really took care of everything while we relaxed, floated and listen to music. He did a great job of making sure our empty’s were promptly disposed of and replaced! We all had a great time and we will definitely use Big Tex again!!!

If you’re trying to decide if you should rent a boat for the day or get a boat chartered, make the wise decision. Sit back and relax and let the pros take care of all the work. I grew up on Lake Travis and started captaining a 17ft Boston whaler at age 13, so I’m used to being the captain. So to not have to be in charge… boy was it nice. Our captain Corbin, was calm, cool and collected, even as our party got rowdy into the afternoon. Most importantly, he kept us safe and was always in control. Definitely booking again in the future!!

Used these guys for a boat rental in the middle of July. Had a weekend planned to visit Austin with a big group of friends, but our trip was kind of last minute.
We were recommend to Big Tex by some friends and they did not disappoint.

Even though we were last minute, they were grateful to have us and they were very professional. The boats were very clean and the crew was personable and friendly. Because we waited to book a rental, they had a second charter later in the day and made sure they were punctual and on time so that they could make it to there second rental. I’d highly recommend this crew!

Big Tex Boat Rentals is awesome! We happened to call them to book a trip last minute and they were very accommodating. We rented one of their Pontoons and it was very nice! The boat was extremely clean and well maintained. The one we were on had a huge swim platform on the back. The boat captain Corbin was a really nice guy and made us feel right at home.
