Con’ Olio Oils and Vinegars was the first premium olive oil tasting bar in Austin. The company’s Lake Travis location is their flagship store.

Con’ Olio focuses on offering ultra-fresh products and educating guests about extra virgin olive oil. The Bee Cave store features a dedicated demo kitchen—allowing patrons to take advantage of a myriad of classes and tasting events.

The Con’ Olio experience — influenced by Europe’s unique food culture, street markets and small-town cafés is located in Bee Cave at the Gateway to Falconhead (Ste F-400).

Con’ Olio is a family-owned oil boutique offering the try-before-you-buy concept, serving complementary tastes of the freshest Extra Virgin Olive Oils (EVOO) & Aged Traditional Balsamic Vinegars in town.

As taste testers tap into the liquid gold of Con’ Olio’s olive oils and vinegars, poured from one stainless steel Fusti storage container to another, the knowledgeable staff provides expert insight on how to identify high-grade oils and distinguish their particular flavors and aromas.

Unlike many oil tasting bars that provide bread for dipping, Con’ Olio encourages customers to sip from tasting cups, which helps preserve the oils’ integrity and flavor. To ensure authenticity, bottles are filled directly from the tasting Fustis, each of which specifies the harvest date and chemical-testing results along with the organoleptic tasting profiles.

What a cool store! I went here last week for a housewarming gift and was able to taste test 6 different oils/vinegars. The woman who worked there was very helpful and greeted me as soon as I walked in. I picked a lemon vinegar that can we added to food or to drinks (without all the sugar of a simple syrup), a 25-year aged balsamic that tasted like dessert, and a mild olive oil. I will definitely be coming back for gifts in the future or even for my own kitchen. Thanks for the great experience!

I absolutely love this place! It’s such a gem!! Tabatha, the owner and Rachel are inviting and it’s evident they love what they do. They’ll guide you through all of their oils and vinegars and help you pick the right ones based on your preferences. I highly recommend doing a private group tasting, you learn so much and it’s a fun experience!

Love this place. I try to make a not-so-quick stop whenever we’re in the area to see if they’ve added anything new to the selection.

All their oils and vinegars have always been top-notch and well worth it. Plus their staff are super friendly and immensely helpful!

If you like the nicer things to cook with in the kitchen, definitely try them out. Their selection is extensive, gives pairing suggestions, can all be sampled, and there’s numerous size options to choose from if you love a certain flavor and want a lot or love a lot and want some variety in the pantry.

Conolios is a new favorite! I was shopping for healthy alternatives to liquor shots for a party and Rachel was a god send. She recommended the most amazing pairings while she and Kristina enthusiastically helped us explore so many flavors and pairings. The variety, intensity, and straight up deliciousness of these vinegars is astonishing. I walked out a very happy customer and am so excited to come back!

This is another store I didn’t realize was so close to my house. I went a little crazy here and got sample 60ml sizes of many types of vinegars and I got some interesting oils like butternut squash seed oil. I am also enjoying the cara cara vanilla orange vinegar. They go really well on my salads also.

I’ve been a customer of Con’ Oilo for five years, but never did I know they sold perishable items until the lockdown. I couldn’t get into farmhousedelivery.com because they are booked, but Con Olio offers similar local produce and dairy on a smaller scale.

For the lockdown, they are offering free curbside pickup. Unlike HEB, the lead time at Con Olio is about four hours. You can skip one week curbside lead times at HEB and Randall’s. They offer gluten free artisan bread and bagels, eggs, green onions, etc…

You can place a curbside order online or over the phone with Margo. She even wore gloves for curbside delivery.

When lockdown is over, they also offer cooking classes accommodating any food allergies.

Con’ Olio’s is by far a must-visit place for all dedicated foodies! My understanding is that this store (and a second in Bee Cave) were the first Extra Virgin Olive Oils (EVOO) and balsamic vinegar tasting locations in Austin, and it certainly deserved the title.

The Arboretum location has friendly staff and an excellent selection to choose from. Compared to Bee Cave, this location feels more airy and has space to let you wander between offerings more.

The strength of CO is their willingness to let you taste pretty much anything in the store. While the star of the show is the olive oil, their flavored balsamic vinegar is also excellent. They also have an interesting selection of pasta and gourmet condiments worth checking out.

A note to the newcomer to the world EVOO: You may find to your surprise that many samples are astringent and peppery! That’s because fresh olive oil contains a high level of antioxidants, which provide multiple health benefits.

A 5-star place and worth a drive to visit.

This my go to place to buy housewarming gifts or gifts in general. The staff are always attentive with awesome recommendations. They have a variety of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. You can always pair them and get a bottle of 2 fl oz each for under $12.

So I am thrilled I came here. Initially, I was looking for gluten free bread from GFY Kitchen and was told they only do drop offs. That means you have to place your order online and come into the store to pick it up. However, the sales associates were extremely nice to me. One sales associate explained about their olive oils they have in stock – production, harvest, dates, timing, etc. I decided to buy a small sample only due to the fact I just purchased olive oil from HEB days ago. This is a unique shop tucked away I’ve never seen. Holiday is right around the corner and I know where I’ll be getting some goodies! Thanks Con’ Olio Oils & Vinegars.
