Cannot recommend LT overhead doors enough. I bought a replacement part from them and tried to fix the garage door myself and only made it worse. Doug was able to come back out the same afternoon (on presidents day!) and fix it right for a very very good price. Fast professional service. Saving his contact for any garage door needs in the future.

Our spring broke at the worst time. Doug immediately answered and showed up at our house within the hour late in the evening. He was extremely knowledgeable, respectful, and fair across the board. If I could give them 5 stars I would! I called another highly-rated local Company and they couldn’t see me the same day and based on photos, quoted me $600-900. Lake Travis Overhead Doors fit me in immediately, repaired the damage in less than 10 minutes, and charged me a fraction of the other company’s quote. Honest, fast, fair-pricing and they know their stuff!

I called about a garage door that had gone off track and what looked like a broken cable. There was some bent metal, looked a little expensive. Doug from LTOD came out to have a look. Instead of giving me a quote he and his assistant started working on it and had it working like new in a short time. Charged me a reasonable fee. Highly recommend!!

I first contacted a large competitor and they came out to give me a quote and I was ready to move forward. They gave me a lead time of 1-2 weeks. I then contacted Doug at Lake Travis Overhead Doors to check the price and lead time. I described the broken springs and how many needed to be replaced (Qty 4) and he immediately gave me a quote over the phone that was ~40% less than the other guy. Moreover, he said he could install the spring system the next day. I moved forward with Doug’s company (family owned and operated btw) and he completed the install as promised and quoted! Prompt, professional service.
I had requested a quote for one broken spring and cable. They fixed that and replaced the rest of the hardwear for the price they quoted me for the one spring and cable. And the quote was about $100 more than me buying the 2 parts and doing this on my own.
Excellent deal, they are now my ‘go-to’ company for any garage door issues.

I absolutely recommend Doug. I ran into my garage door last night and basically trashed it. I called Doug thinking I was going to need a whole new door, 49 minutes later he shows up and fixes it in less than an hour. Replaced the parts that needed it and fixed the rest. Fantastic service! The friendly team arrived within an hour and not only replaced the parts, but went above and beyond to keep the door working. And the cost was reasonable. I had originally called the other guys who couldn’t come out for 5 days, and probably would have done the minimum work for maximum price. I’ll never call the other guys again. Lake Travis Overhead is the best!

We highly recommend Doug if you need to replace your garage door or if you have any garage door issues. A little over a year ago, he replaced our garage door and we were thoroughly impressed with his work. Fast forward to tonight, after bending our garage door track around 7:00 pm, we called Doug and he picked up. He said he would be here in the next 30-45 minutes to fix the issue and he did. The spring broke on our garage door Sunday afternoon and I called figuring it wouldn’t be until Monday but they said they could have someone to our house at 5 and he actually came at 4:15. That never happens that a service provider comes sooner than planned. We were very happy with the service and pricing.

My daughter smashes into my garage door in the morning. Big one too. 18 foot wide. It was halfway up and is now completely stuck. I get a referral at my Bible study to call Doug. I send Doug a text and by the time I get home he is at my house. My wife and I were thinking this was gonna cost us at least $5k. Doug takes apart the door. Puts it back together. Changes out all these parts that the builder cheaped out on and in 90 minutes the door was good as new. He also fixed the other garage door which was having all kinds of issues. For $375. Are you kidding me? I wish Doug was a GC. I would have him build my next home. Family business and local. Without a doubt the best experience I have ever had with a contractor.

I called Doug on a Sunday of Fourth of July Weekend and did not expect to have anyone return my call. Not only did he call me back he drove out to my house and looked at my motor. I decided to replace the 22 year old motor and his crew of Brandon and Alex were at my house Tuesday July 5th ( they were on Lombardi time to boot. That means they were 10 minutes early) Alex and Brandon were also willing to set the new codes in all of our vehicles. Way to go the extra mile. Very nice, on time, professional and just went above and beyond in today’s world where mediocre service is more the norm and not the exception. Definitely use Doug and his crew!

Very prompt response to call (same day, within the hour arrival). Courteous, knowledgeable men. My garage got all out of whack when trying to manually open/close when power was out during the Big Freeze of 2023. The two guys fixed it right up, gave it a good maintenance tweak, and were off to their next job. Very reasonably priced, too! I highly recommend.

Doug and his crew were quick getting out to install a new garage door opener to replace the original (ancient) opener that had failed. Communication was great, service was above my already high expectations, and the new system is whisper quiet and easy to use. Despite replacing more than I had anticipated, total cost came in under my budgeted amount. Great place, we will definitely be recommending them!

Last night after the Trail of Lights we had a holiday catastrophe when our own holiday lights blew the fuse in the garage and therefore the garage door. With a house fully locked and secure Doug came out and was calm, patient and innovative in finding a way to get us back in our home and get the garage door open without damaging the house. I don’t know of anyone else who would come out at 9:30pm but this man did and we are forever grateful. I will without a doubt recommend him and use his company for all thing garage door related. Doug was outstanding! Extremely knowledgeable, super fast to respond, and very polite. He said he has been working in the field since 1968. Doug is meticulous with is work and is very reasonable with his charges. He changed out hinges just because they were worn without additional charge. I strongly recommend Lake Travis Overhead Doors.

Oct 13, 2022. Few months later after use, there was a slight slippage of the spring. Doug and Brandon came out almost immediately and adjusted the tension without charge. They were very courteous and very happy to fix the problem. Again, outstanding customer service!

A spring on one of my garage door broke and I called Doug. He said that they could stop by the same day I called if it was an emergency or the following day if it wasn’t. I told him it wasn’t an emergency so he and his assistant came over the following day at the scheduled time. The repair process took less than one hour. I have used used him for repairs before and the service was the same — excellent! I highly recommend Lake Travis Overhead Doors.

I had an exceptional experience with Lake Travis Overhead Doors! I submitted an online inquiry for a problem with my garage door late in the evening. Doug responded immediately, offered to visit the next day, and arrived within our agreed time window. I wish I could give 6 STARS for Doug & his team. They have gone well above and beyond all my expectations. 1) A few months ago they replaced my old overhead unit. They were prompt and professional and it was clear they took pride the quality of their work 2) This week, the 15 year old tension spring broke making it nearly impossible to open the garage door. Doug was at our house with a new replacement spring within 30 minutes. Quality personal service like this is hard to come by nowadays.

Excellent experience and customer service! My first experience was a free service call. Months later when the garage door started acting up again I called and they had someone out the next day. Even though I was unavailable they replaced the unit and sent me an invoice electronically. The price was better than anywhere else. I never saw anyone or had to do anything. Thanks Doug

Awesome service! Car trapped in garage and needed that day. Doug was here in 30 minutes and had springs and cables replaced in 1 hour. Good to go. Price was way less than I expected. Highly recommend and will definitely use in the future.

Doug and his team do business the way you wish everyone did: fair, honest, timely with quick & good communications. He’s quick to find the issue and gives you options even when one of those options means he won’t get the sale. He’s repaired my broken springs within hours of the door breaking. He didn’t even charge my mother-in-law when the issue was a sensor that had been bumped out of alignment causing her door not to work. (30seconds of work, but he had still made the trip to her house.) I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Lake Travis Overhead Doors is one of the most reliable companies with which we have worked. We have had our motor and spring replaced by Doug Burd in the past, and he did an impeccable job at a very reasonable cost. But Doug goes above and beyond the customer service level you typically see in the business world. Recently, our door went wildly off the tracks one evening. We could not diagnose the problem and were thinking we would have to completely replace our system. My wife called Doug at 8am the next morning. He was on his way to a job, but he turned his truck around to come and diagnose our issue. Within 15 minutes, the problem was solved….again at a very reasonable price. He and his co-worker are good souls that want to serve people. As long as I live in Lakeway/Austin, I know I have a company I can call that has my best interest at heart. I highly recommend this company. They get it!

Doug was great! He was available to come out same day as he is local and services Lakeway/Bee Cave. Very convenient. He was informative and went over and above my expectations. He knew exactly what was wrong, fixed that, and also improved the garage door and function at an excellent price. We will recommend him and use him for future servicing and new updated garage doors. PS: he not only repairs doors but installs various types of new ones which are better than the new build doors (function wise and looks wise)

We are getting ready to move and had a list of inspection issues that we needed to have fixed. I found Doug at Lake Travis Overhead Doors from his numerous recommendations on Nextdoor. I highly recommend him if you are having any issues with your garage doors. He was very friendly and nice, did great work, and at very reasonable rates. Doug did a great job. I called him yesterday and he come out today and worked with me on my schedule because I have pretty unorthodox work hours. He was honest and transparent in his pricing. I’ve had other garage door companies come out in the past and it always seemed they were more salesmen than anything else. Love my new garage doors. Local Lakeway/Bee Caves business. Doug Burd, the owner personally came out, met with me measured my old doors, then came back to install them. We’ve used Doug at two of our properties and he has been outstanding and extremely trust worthy and affordable. The inspector at the first property mistakenly said there was an issue with the doors so we called Doug out. He said the issue did not exist but still took the time to fully service the door for a small fee. We also had him service our own garage door where he programmed all the remotes and the doors work much better now!

Doug came out quickly to repair one of our automatic high-lift garage doors in our shop. Within an hour he had it up and running perfectly. He also adjusted the chain on my house unit, which I had no idea was loose and about to fall off. Highly recommend his service.
