Vivel is Inspired by the walk-up crêperie stands and sidewalk cafés that line the streets of Paris, Cotê d’Azure and Brittany, Vivel brings the same passions and flavors of France and the real French crepe to Austin. One bite and all you’ll be missing is the Eiffel Tower!

Crepes were considered peasant food in 15th century Brittany. At Vivel we’ve kept some of those traditional recipes and employed the same time-honored techniques, but we’ve added modern flair and flavor. Everything we do has been carefully crafted for our customers to experience nothing less than the best.

Vivel offers sweet, savory and brunch crepes as well as hamburgers, panini sandwiches, soups and salads. Most of our foods are free-range, organic or fair trade. Our extensive drink menu includes coffees, teas, smoothies, gelato/coffee frapes and sodas.

Stopped by after having a lunch around here! We grabbed sorbets with mango and raspberry flavor! It seemed like they put the actual fruits in it and it was so refreshing!! Sweetness is also not that crazy so we enjoyed the sweet delightful time!

We have been going to Vivel for years and if you haven’t been yet you are missing out. The California Avocado toast (with smoked salmon) is a must. All the crepes are Devine. And it opens at 7am which is perfect for a breakfast stop. Highly recommend. Shout out to Ivy, Bhye and the crew.

The best Crepe shop! Atmosphere was great. Staff is friendly and you can tell everyone loved their job. The owner/mgr greeted us and took the time to speak with us. He was friendly and knowledgeable.
We had the avocado toast and the chefs omelet for our main course. You can tell by appearance and taste, all ingredients were fresh. Seasonings were authentic. We had the s’more crepe for desert. It is a meal in itself. We loved it and will be back.

The family and I had planned a short trip to Austin for Eid (April 2024), we were looking for good halal breakfast places and stumbled across Vivel Crepes & Coffee.

The food at Vivel Crêpes & Coffee is nothing short of fantastic.
The Sunrise Tajine was a standout dish that immediately captured my attention. This savory Moroccan-inspired breakfast combines tender pieces of chicken with a medley of aromatic spices and fresh vegetables, all simmered to perfection.

The crepes are light and fluffy, filled with a variety of delicious, high-quality ingredients. The coffee, brewed to perfection, complements the meal beautifully.

Equally impressive was the Breakfast Sandwich, a true crowd-pleaser. The sandwich features perfectly scrambled eggs and a slice of melted cheese, it’s the kind of breakfast that hits all the right notes: savory, satisfying, and utterly delicious.

Great service, great staff and amazing food. Can’t recommend this place enough. I was eager to try different halal options in Austin while on vacation from Dallas but just found myself coming back here everyday. Crepes, burgers, panini, pastas, YOU CANT GO WRONG. Very friendly and welcoming staff too. Highly recommend. Bhye will do right by you!

This has to be hands down, one of the best places I have ever eaten breakfast at. We got the berry french toast, grilled chicken panini, Shakshuka, sunrise tajine, and a breakfast sandwich. The French toast was so soft, fluffy and flavorful. It was basically melting in my mouth. And the fruit added the perfect amount of tart and tanginess. The Shakshuka was so flavorful and the portion was very good and even came with flatbread. The sunrise tajine’s meatballs were so flavorful and delicious and had the perfect amount of spice. The grilled chicken panini was so so delicious. The pesto was so flavorful, the cheese had the perfect nuttiness and stretch the bread was perfectly toasted, and the chicken was very tender. It was just a flavor explosion in my mouth. Best panini u have ever had. They also had a wide variety of drinks. The service was top notch as well, they made sure we had everything we needed and they were all very nice. The atmosphere was very nice as well. Everything was clean and it was very packed. I will definitely be coming back here again, everything was just amazing!

Very nice coffee and crepe restaurant across from our hotel. The service was friendly and excellent. There were many Choices of crepes omelettes and other sandwiches. I chose an omelet with cheese sausage and mushrooms. It was excellent and made with real eggs. The coffee was also excellent.

Pleasantly surprised by this cute place in Lakeway. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The owner/manager Bhye came by to speak with us personally to make sure we enjoyed our visit. The food was great and well-priced for the portion. It’s rare to find a restaurant these days that is open about what oils they use (EVOO). I will be back.

The biggest surprise of our trip was stumbling upon this phenomenal creperie! In three days we visited three times and enjoyed three different crepes, espresso drinks, gelato, baklava, and more. Every last thing was beyond delicious, with the s’mores crepe being an ultimate favorite for me. Bhye and his staff were so friendly and kind and recognized us at each repeated visit. This is a MUST VISIT restaurant if you find yourself in this part of Texas!!

You will never regret eating here!! The top quality is constant and excellent!! The manager, Bhye, just gave me all 3 soups to taste during my breakfast and they are exquisite!! I’ll be coming here for every warm soup craving I ever have. GD crepe is perfection. I love getting my omelette IN a crepe.

They have halal beef, turkey, chicken, and lamb! We got their shakshuka tajine, grilled chicken panini, breakfast sandwich, and apple pie crepe. Everything tasted delicious, food came out quickly, our waiter was really nice, and atmosphere is really chill. If you have any questions about the food, you can ask for the manager Bhye, he was super helpful. Overall, an amazing spot with lots of variety!

Dietary restrictions: Halal food available, gluten-free available for additionally charge, wide variety of proteins, and many vegetarian options too

We enjoyed the classic Nutella crepe. It was a party in my mouth with creamy nutella, bananas and strawberries.
Bhye took very good care of us. He was attentive, friendly and brought us water.

My husband and I were visiting Lakeway for a weekend getaway and needed a great breakfast and coffee place. We found Vivel and were soo impressed by the quality of the food and service! The Manager took the time to make sure we were having a great experience and explained that they source most of the food from organic sources! Everything here is scratch made and you can tell! We will definitely be back if we ever visit here again!

My kids and I have been here a few times for crepes, omelettes, hamburgers, lattes, smoothies, gelato and desserts. Today, I confirmed that nearly everything on the menu can be made gluten-free, including the crepes. The morning hours tend to be pretty busy; which is a good sign of a great place. Guests can enjoy outdoor seating or the atmosphere and music indoors. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. Tables are never left sitting dirty. The menu itself has us coming back for more. This establishment is absolutely worth visiting for locals and those traveling through. There is something for everyone! Thank you Vivel for being a part of our community.

Some of the best crepes I’ve had in Austin. My husband and I split 3 crepes between the two of us. The ambiance is good – casual and cute. Would definitely come back.

Crepes here are EPIC, memorable, reasonably priced and served attractively and hot. Portions are quite large.

Sweet, savory, traditional or nouvelle… these babies are worth a long drive if Vivel isn’t in your area. I want to go again today and tomorrow!

The menu is extensive and there’s something for everyone. Gluten-free options and a fantastic kids menu that meets the needs of the pickiest eaters while covering new territory for them with croissandwiches and panini, for example.

There are beautiful and healthful salads and soups and smoothies and burgers to-die-for and cream sodas and gelatto and… I want to go back this minute.

The restaurant itself is immaculate, casual and pleasant. There are several magazines (including a whopper commemorative Vogue) for those of you who can put your phones down for a moment. No Chronicle but given the other enticements, I’m willing to get my Chronicle fixes elsewhere.

The crepes here are delicious but you already knew that from the other reviews. But you may be surprised that their burgers are some of the best I’ve ever tried. Try the Chef’s Favorite and you will understand why I rave about this place.

Amazing place! Had a savory crepe – smoked salmon and shared a sweet crepe – framboise. Both were delicious! There were so many other crepe and no crepe options and I would like to try several more of them perhaps on my future trips to Austin. The cappuccino was made just right too. Loved the simple decor of the cafe, a fusion of Moroccan and French. I was told that their meat is halal so that’s an added bonus if I want to try their crepes with chicken or meat. If I lived here, without a doubt I would visit it quite frequently.

I really enjoyed this place! The ambiance was pleasant, the staff was friendly and the prices were reasonable. My husband and I shared a sweet crape (The Framboise) & a savory crepe (The Fiorintino) – both were really yummy! Our lattes were good too. We’re visiting from Dallas, but if I lived in the Austin area, I’d probably frequent this place a lot.

I was heading out towards the Lakeway area and started to look up places to eat (preferably halal). I decided to check out Vivek after confirming with the owner that all the meat they serve is halal. We ordered the classic burger which was huge and very delicious; grilled chicken crepe which had amazing flavor; and the strawberry/Nutella crepe. The dessert crepe was perfect and did not disappoint. I found out the owner is from Morocco which explains the crepe restaurant (French influence in Morocco). They have a wide variety of savory crepes and dessert crepes. Their chai is really good and I recommend trying that too. The service is great and the staff are friendly. This place is almost an hour drive from where I live but it’s definitely worth the drive to come out here again.

Came here on a Sunday for brunch with friends and left very satisfied! Pictured are two crepes, avocado toast, and an espresso cortado. I had the avocado toast…eggs were cooked perfectly, avocado and arugula was fresh, and the bread was perfectly soft to be able to cut through easily. We came around 12:30pm, and just beat some of the afternoon rush. Friendly staff, clean indoor and outdoor seating. A ton of different sweet and savory options to select from, as well as a great coffee menu with many syrup flavorings to select from. It is located in an area with some other shops/restaurants, so there was a parking lot available, versus having to search for street parking. Would recommend for a quick bite and a relaxing sit down meal with friends!!

We accidentally stumbled upon Vivel one day and have been regularly since. Love the food and were able to bring back friends who eat halal meat only which was an added bonus! I love both the sweet and savoury crepes and especially the gyros!

Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a hearty breakfast or brunch or even a dessert option for those days where you just need a Nutella crepe! I also thoroughly enjoyed all the juices I’ve tried so far – fresh and delicious paired with the food!

Stopped in with my husband to grab a coffee and a crepe and I wasn’t disappointed 🙂 everything is pretty affordable and fresh made ! We got the cannell? Crepe ! And a salted Carmel macchiato delicious ! Such a nice shop. Very clean and had a great playlist jamming . We will definitely be back!!

It’s really nice to have a crepe place in lakeway. Great crepes and coffee at a reasonable price. Personal favorites are the smoked salmon and the classic. Drink selection is also quite large and quality is good.
Location is great though parking here can sometimes be a competition.
