We sold our house in May of 2024 and are now full time in our Tiffin Motor Coach. We have been at Sun Outdoors Lake Travis since July of 2024. This place is an oasis in a beautiful setting. Green spaces and lots of trees maintained to be beautiful without interfering with our coach in any way. The people here are great, friendly people, both the staff as well as other RV’ers staying here. We bought one of their Park Model cottages, refurbished it, and now have it available on Airbnb, so we are now in partnership with the park. The amenities offered by the park make our business venture a great success. We love living here, love the people, and consider ourselves lucky to find this first-class park to call home.

We stay at Sun Outdoors 3 months in the winter and 1 month in the fall. We have checked out other RV parks when the prices started to increase about 3-4 years ago. There was no other RV parks around as nice as Sun Outdoors. The sites are spacious and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. The trees provide wonderful shade in the fall. The pool is cold, we’d like it better if it was heated. The Pavillion is used by our group a lot. Laundry rooms are cleaned daily. I would highly recommend this RV park

Best RV Resort Ever – Feels Like Home!
We’ve only been here for five hours, and we can already say this is the BEST RV resort we’ve ever visited! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness. Sharon, Beth, and Josh were the first people we met at the office, and they instantly made us feel like family. Their hospitality set the tone for an incredible stay.
The resort itself is absolutely stunning—the landscaping is beautiful, the amenities are amazing and well cared for, and everything feels top-notch. We’ve traveled to many RV resorts across the country, and this one truly stands out above the rest. It’s family-friendly, impeccably maintained, and designed with guests in mind.

We are now repeat customers! Fabulous staff. Everyone on staff is friendly and helpful. All the facilities are spotlessly clean and updated. The dog play areas are large and well cared for. Many of the lots have trees and there is a mostly shaded walking trail. The two laundry rooms are spacious with large folding tables.

Absolutely cute cabin to glamp in. Super clean, comfortable and quiet. Beautiful grounds that are maintained and peaceful. Our cabin was clean, stocked with necessities, fridge, toaster over, micro, dishes, ect. Linens were fresh and clean, and all neighbors were polite. We will definitely stay again! I recommend staying two nights to unwind and get lake time!

I have been here close to a year, FT RV’er since 2019 and I can honestly say that this is one of the best resorts that I have been at since I started traveling in my RV for nursing. Once I was ready to settle down again, I knew that I wanted to continue living in my RV since it was “home” for the past 5 years & made sure to find a nice place. They have it all here! I have a nice big yard & started a flower bed, something I’ve not been able to do elsewhere. My grandchildren love to come visit! & Everyone has been super friendly, esp the ladies & gentlemen in the office & and who work on the grounds. The place is always in tip-top shape!

First time at Lake Travis and we had a great experience staying here in one of their cottages. Checking in and out is easy and the staff are nice. The location is convenient, scenic, clean, and peaceful. They are very dog friendly and have a few large dog parks on the property. Close to the lake, grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. The cottage itself was clean and had a lot of amenities. Also “hillbilly” (that’s what was on his name tag) picked up our trash and was super nice and welcoming! Overall a super comfortable stay. I would recommend if you’re looking to stay here for a memorable and relaxing family trip with lots of beautiful outdoor space.

This is an RV Resort and we stayed 7 nights in our motorhome. Our site was C7 pull-in. Large level site with full hookups 30/50.

Walkability: My wife walks daily. Level park paved roads secure.

Very good stay for the eclipse. Beautiful location. Clean, easy and accessible. We had a pull through site with grass area and picnic table. Staff friendly and helpful when our reservation got messed up. Laundry and bathroom facilities clean. Overall, one of the better resorts we have stayed in. Highly recommend. Mostly quiet.

We love this park! Of all the places we’ve stayed on our road trips, Sun Outdoors Lake Travis (La Hacienda) is one of our favorites. It is very clean and their amenities are great! Beside the very large dog area is a nice covered dog bath! Two pools plus a hot tub, spacious laundry room, very nice showers, and large clubhouse. They have tiny home cottages, too, but I’ve never seen the inside of them. Plenty to do here!

This is an RV Park with cottages, not a hotel. They have a great dog park and dog wash station, something that we find very helpful! Nice pool and pool area, very clean, well maintained laundry room and showers. Employees are VERY nice and helpful! We’ll be staying again this summer for our wedding, so we’ll also be renting the clubhouse for a dinner. Friends and relatives will be staying here for the wedding. That’s how highly I rate this place.

Its clean, has nice amenities and the location is excellent. All kinds of food, fuel and booze very close. Check lake water levels if you’re boating. This spot is right at the manfield damn public boat ramp BUT when the water is low enough, only pace bend public ramp for Lake Travis access is open. Can still get on Lake Austin at Quinlan park.

My wife and I are assigned to site B95 which is a back in site. We have a 40ft. Class A and the site is perfect. This resort is clean and well kept. They are dog friendly and they have a propane station. The staff is extremely friendly. Tammy (hope I got the right spelling) is great! she answered all our questions and told us about different activities that they offer. I normally don’t leave a review until after our visit but just felt I had to share my experience now. I know one thing that won’t change is how friendly and welcoming the staff is, which to me is very important. I will definitely share my experience with my friends. Thank you!

We visit every year for the 4th. Besides nice amenities they add fun and flavor with activities. We bring our rv and are thrilled with how level the sites are. We also rent a cabin for the kids who appreciate the AC. Small enough to feel community and large enough to get in a good morning walk without leaving the property.

Site was pretty full of what appears to be long term renters. There are also a lot of cabins available to rent. The trees helped to keep my space cool given the 107 degree weather. Ladies in the office were helpful and friendly. I did not partake in the amenities like the pool, but did see families enjoying it. I liked that there were multiple areas to take my dog as well as a fenced in area. I’ll definitely be back

Had a blast at Sun Outdoor Lake Travis! Super clean pools, awesome playground and clubhouse, plus breweries nearby. Our spot, B31, had a tricky incline, but the warm staff took care of us with a discount. Definitely coming back.

This is an RV park that also has cabins that are for rent. Everyone is very friendly. The location is quiet and so clean. There is 2 dog parks that are clean. There is a heated pool and hot tub.

Safety: They always have someone patrolling the area on golf carts, 1 is a retired sheriff. The sheriff’s office is down the block

Walkability: U can do all the walking u want at this location. The speed limit is 5mph so if u have children or pets it’s not as worrisome

I can honestly tell you in my 50 years of life, I have never seen as excellent customer service as I have received at this resort the last couple days. The front desk gals are awesome! Michael, who is one of the managers is more professional, kind, polite, and helpful than any other manager I have come in contact with at any other business. Thank you for making my stay here at your resort a priority despite all the troubles I have had with my own RV….

Sun Outdoors is an amazing hidden gem! The staff is always pleasant and they do their very best to give outstanding customer service. I give much credit to the management who will always have a smile on their face! The community is spotless and you can tell they take great pride in the appearance of the grounds and the facilities! If you are looking for fun they offer all sorts of events, which they recently included a 70’s & 80’s dance party! I give a 5 stars in ALL areas, appearance, customer service, events and even for their cleaning lady Camry, who did an amazing job on my cabin!

The staff has been great! So welcoming and willing to do the little things that help make a trip go smooth. The pool is family friendly and is connected to the play structure with a gate in-between. A little putting green a gym a Pavillion with games to play like corn hole and air hockey etc. They keep a calendar of things going on there. Cartoons at 11 today for the kids. Laundry mat on sight is convenient. Dog park with a dog wash station at the park! Never seen that. Health paths this time of year are loaded with flowers. Bocci ball horse shoe and just about everything you can think of. Have fun! We did

Nice, quite, close to Austin and other towns. Really enjoyed our stay here. They do a good job of keeping up with daily maintenance and upkeep of sites. They have daily activities as well as an indoor and outdoor pool and the biggest plus is they are pet friendly with two nice big parks. Definitely staying here when we come back on our next trip.

This a great site to stay for either camping RV or cottages. We always stay in the cottages. They are comfortable and clean. Also close to the lake and easy to get to. We love to be able to make our own meals and stay in comfort. Definitely recommend to anyone!

Beautiful large spots, level and with very good electric and water hookups. It’s nice to have some privacy fencing and shrubbery between sites as well. Huge fenced dog walks, two separate ones so no waiting, with motion lights for night. Well kept park and easy to find.

Super nice, upscale RV resort. One of the nicest we’ve been to. The staff we’ve encountered have been extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. The only downside is the drive getting to the resort includes a lot of steep hills. We made it just fine in our huge 42 ft 5th wheel, though. The upside is the views in the area are gorgeous!

We had such a great time here! This is the second year we’ve met up with friends and their families with a mix of RV sites and cabins. It is great for families and has nice grounds and amenities. The staff is very friendly. It’s a nice location. We will be back!

We stayed at Sun Outdoors Lake Travis 19 -21 March 22. We had 2 adults 2 toddlers and a teenager. We rented one of the cabins with the loft and pull out sofa and it was perfect. The cabin was maintained really nice. The main bed was soft and had good sheets.
The staff was really nice the whole time and there were lots of activities going on for different ages. And we made our first trip to Hamilton Pool which was about a 30 minute drive We will definitely go back !

Great place for a family to visit. We usually stay at a state or national park with our camper, but this trip we had our 6-year-old granddaughters with us. They have a playground, two swimming pools, games and entertainment. It was perfect.

Beyond that, it was clean, quiet and well managed. The amenities they offered were many and well managed. I would recommend a stay at La Hacienda.

My mom and my aunt both had the pleasure of staying here for a weekend. Neither of them had any experience with an RV and it was clearly their first time. Michael, the Renaissance man of a resort manager, stayed with them for easily 3 hours making sure they were all set up for their stay. He has the patience of a god. They did have to check out earlier than anticipated because of the hurricane and Dana at the front desk didn’t hesitate to refund the days they didn’t stay. This is a fantastic resort. Everyone is incredibly kind and willing to help! I highly recommend this RV resort to anyone coming through the central Texas hill country.

Great resort ! Very clean. Jan at the office was very helpful. We decided on a last minute trip to Austin, Ryan the Manager was very accommodating with our reservation. Outstanding customer service!!! Our kids really enjoyed all the space to ride around with scooters and the pool especially! Will be returning soon!

Stayed two nights in July of 2019 and thought everything about the park was absolutely excellent. It was so clean and well maintained with a very friendly feel. I definitely recommend the park for a short time, but would be fine staying here long term.
While we were just passing through the area I enjoyed staying.

This RV Park is the nicest in the Austin area. It is spacious and has lots of wonderful amenities. Everyone is super friendly and waves when they go by in their golf carts. Just had a new manager start and she seems really nice and on top of things. I think there will be some notable and great improvements under her leadership. The park is very dog friendly and it has two off leash areas. In addition they have lots of potty stations around the park with poop bags. I love visiting here!

This was a great park to stay at. Nice grass area for us to sit outside our camper and enjoy the weather. Very clean area. Walking path and playground for our 1.5 year old son, that he loved! Friendly front desk ladies. Easy access with our 38 ft. trailer. Pool looked nice but we didn’t use it.

My wife and I came for the first time to La Hacienda RV Resort for a relaxing weekend bringing also our dog with a small extra price. During the reservation the lady at the phone was very nice and friendly giving us all the directions to get in and how to collect the keys since we were coming after the office time. We stayed at the cabin “Rocky” and inside it was very well maintained and clean with sheets and towels included in the price. The resort includes all the amenities you can get including a huge dog park, laundry, adult pool and kid pool. The place was really quiet and very close to lake Travis and it was also perfect to visit the Austin neighbors. Austin downtown is about 35 minutes driving time. We definitely recommend this place.

This is a great place to stay for a week or a lifetime. The staff is great and they have security that drives around at night checking on things called RV Rangers. The people who stay here are friendly and love the RV lifestyle.

Problems (few) are handled quickly by Ms. Norma the Manager. The grounds are kept neat and clean. The bonus is an adult only pool. One of the only Sun Properties only. Sun, let’s keep it that way.

My husband and I stayed here for the Fourth weekend for the first time. WOW! We absolutely LOVED it! Very clean and well maintained RV Resort. It is really close to the Lake. They have great amenities and what I really loved about this resort is the fact that they enforce the rules. They have an adult only section pool and when the worker was monitoring the pool he made sure nobody was breaking the rules. This is huge to me because there is a reason they have an adult section and a kid section. The dog park is HUGE and well maintained. The people are very friendly and we cannot wait to come back!!!!

Coming back for the 3rd time already this summer!! Absolutely LOVE La Hacienda and they’re staff!! Norma is always very helpful when making a reservation – she knows more about those cottages then I do about myself! I have always enjoyed staying there and we’ve been in a different cottage every time! AC works REALLY WELL, love watching everyone walk their dogs – they have a dog park too!! The entire property is very clean, these people manage it incredibly well. I would HIGHLY recommend visitng La Hacienda to ANYONE! Cant wait for this weekend!!

My wife and I love La Hacienda RV Resort. It is the nicest RV Resort in all of Austin. It’s right on Lake Travis in the middle of Hudson Bend. 1 mile from the Dam. If you looking for a place to park your Rig, don’t even waste your time looking at others out there, I wasted my time for you. Don’t stop at and stop lights, just take the most direct route and get there. Great staff, Clean with workout room, Laundry, Adult Pool and separate Kids pool for those of us who are done with the kids thing.

I looked everywhere in the Austin area for an RV park for a long term stay as I was in town for business. I was both amazed and disheartened at what I found as I looked. I called La Hacienda and went for a visit and WOW, I found exactly what I was looking for. This is a very nice place in a very desirable area, about 20 minutes from downtown. The staff was very friendly, and the grounds are kept immaculate, there are workers on mowers and golf carts buzzing the place making sure that everything is well kept. Additionally there is a very nice dog park if you have that need, it even has a little shed with 2 bathing stations for you to freshen Fido up if you feel the need. 2 swimming pools, a hot tub, an actual NICE work out room for those so inclined (not me) and the laundry room are all first class. Outside of the laundry room there are Ping Pong tables and an air hockey table , I was surprised at how much those were used by kids. Oh and a basketball court outside as well. Anyway. If your looking for an RV park in Austin and they have room TRUST ME this is your number one spot, you will be glad you found it. One last thing, DONT miss the Mexican food place Los Pinos up the street, fantastic…… Get the Mexican Martini…..your welcome!!!

An awesome RV park to stay overnight or for an extended stay. They have ample space between RV sites and tons of amenities like pool, laundry/game room, showers/bathrooms, and doggie park. The park is well-maintained and clean. The staff are helpful and friendly. They even sell propane! The only reason I gave the park 4 stars instead of 5? Even with all the amenities, the price is a little steep. And even though the RV park is super nice and well spaced, the RV sites are not paved which makes for added time leveling the RV. The added convenience of selling propane on the property was inconveniently priced. I wanted to fill a half full propane tank before leaving but they were going to charge for a full tank anyway. Otherwise, this RV park is a great choice.
