Dear Rosedale Riders,
Based on guidance from Travis County and the City of Austin, we are canceling this year’s Rosedale Ride. This is a big decision for us, and we take it with a note of sadness because the Ride is so important both for building community support for our students and for raising critical funds for our programs. At the same time, we understand that canceling large events is the right thing to do right now. Regrettable though it is, we are heartened to see the focus on vulnerable populations, including our medically fragile students.
We hope you’ll understand, and continue to help. Here’s how: “Come together” (from a distance) on a “virtual” Rosedale Ride and:
Share Rosedale Ride 2020 on our Facebook page @RosedaleRide
Share Instagram @RosedaleSchoolAustin,using the hashtags:
Keep fundraising through the OneCause platform to share our cause and help us to provide specialized support for Rosedale students and staff
We are also unable to host the Kick-Off Party on the scheduled date, so we’ll be sharing details of an online auction in the coming weeks. There is a plan in the works for distributing t-shirts and tote bags. We expect to have an announcement on that as soon as we have a better understanding of the current health situation.
We look forward to riding together next year but do plan to have a celebration to show the love for you, our supporters.
Take care of yourselves, and thank you for all that you do for The Rosedale School!
