Log on and join Vista’s Brewmaster Pat Korn for a guided tasting of Vista’s 2020 Oenobeer Series of barrel aged wine-beer hyrid ales.
Log on to Zoom for a virtual guided tasting of Vista’s new Oenobeer Series , a set of three barrel aged wine-beer hybrid ales featuring fresh Texas-grown grape juice from William Chris Vineyards and Lewis Wines . These limited release beers are truly unique Texas products over two years in the making!
The virtual class will be led by Vista’s Brewmaster Pat Korn, a 25-year veteran of the brewing industry. Your ticket includes Vista’s three 2020 Oenobeers (3 x 500ml bottles) and the guided tasting session via Zoom. Great for a date night or beer-buds happy hour!
Pat will lead us through tasting notes, barrel aging basics, as well as talking through the two-plus year process of creating these unique beers.
These beers are only sold as a set of three ($45, 3 x 500ml bottles). Your ticket includes one set. Save $5 by adding bottles here in Eventbrite for gift giving or to store in your beer cellar for 5 to 10 years.
Beer Pickups : You may pick up your beers any time during regular business hours from the day of Eventbrite purchase through the Dec. 17th event at the brewery in Driftwood OR at our new Bee Cave location in the Hill Country Galleria.
The Vista Oenobeer Series: Wine Barrel Aged Wild Ales aged with Fresh Texas Wine Grape Juice
Hye – Texas Wild Ale with Picpoul Blanc
-Juice from William Chris Vineyards Timmons Ranch, Texas High Plains
-Light golden color with aromas of apricot & vanilla. Soft mouthfeel with fruity esters and balanced acidity. 8.3 % abv
Glen Rose – Lambic-Style Ale with Roussanne
-Juice from William Chris Vineyards, La Pradera Vineyard, Texas High Plains
-Deep amber color with aromas of white grape, pineapple, kiwi. Dry & sour with subtle minerality. 8.7 % abv
Travis – Brett Ale with Cabernet Sauvignon
-Juice from Lewis Wines, Tallent Vineyards, Mason County, TX
-Rich crimson color with aromas of red grape, plum, and blackberry. Sour & dry with cherry, leather, vanilla. 9.2 % abv
