This is a lovely resort with a view of a nice lake. The staff are friendly, helpful, and efficient. The rooms are standard mid-scale hotel. The beds were super comfy for a great night’s sleep! Got a great rate at There is self parking so I avoided the overnight car charge which I appreciate.

The bar next door was fun, the drinks good, the food not bad. It overlooked a nice pool, though the lighting could have been better. It was too harsh, and down by the pool, they used some weird yellow outdoor lighting.

Lakeway reminds me of parts of Orange County with the winding uphill roads and scenic lake vistas. I look forward to coming back soon!

We visited Lakeway Resort and Spa for our anniversary this past September. Upon checking in, we were notified that we got upgraded to a suite, which was super spacious and had a nice view of the river.

The facilities here are beautiful. The pool and spa area are lovely. The area around the resort is great. And Lakeway Resort is pet friendly, so you can bring your pooch. Lots of weddings the weekend we went.

Also, this is a nice area outside Austin. There are many different restaurants within a 10-15 minute drive from casual dining to upscale steakhouses. The concierge provided us with a list and locations, and of course we consulted yelp! I would highly recommend Lakeway as a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Gorgeous!

My friend Brandon and I found a Groupon to this resort on the week of spring break and SXSW. All other hotels were booked so this was our only option. We were actually really pleased that we stumbled upon this place on the web because we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was very pleasant, clean, and beautiful! I definitely would recommend this place to anyone.
I also would like to add that the staff are amazing. Brandon and I both agreed that the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful people. We couldn’t be any more happy with the staff. Cade and his wife were fantastic! Thank you for making us feel welcomed and comfortable! We were actually kind of bummed we couldn’t bid these two farewell so I hope this message gets relayed back to these two wonderful people. :)

This place is so relaxing. I accidently booked online for the wrong weekend, it took a little while to sort the whole thing out, but it was totally my fault and they were able to get us a lake view room that night. It was off season, so I’m not sure if it would be that easy all the time. We didn’t make it in time for the sunset happy hour, but also, not their fault. The rooms have been upgraded since we were there, but they were pretty nice before, so I can just imagine what they look like now. The pools/hot tub are amazing. What a great staycation, I can’t wait to go back.

Ahhh, what a nice place to get away! The Lakeway Resort is a lovely hotel sitting on the banks of Lake Travis. I was quite pleased with our recent stay and would totally recommend this place to anyone!

    1. Beautiful locale and lovely building. It is always nice to stay somewhere that is pretty, no matter where you look. The grounds were landscaped nicely, the interiors were all decorated in a charming fashion, and the pools had amazing views. I so love being surround by “pretty!”

    2. Friendly staff. Everyone we had contact with was always smiling and friendly. They would answer any of our questions and never seemed annoyed at us tourists. Great customer service is so wonderful, especially these days where it seems to be a rarity unfortunately. Good job on this one Lakeway Resort!

    3. NIce, huge rooms! Our room was huge! We had a king sized bed, a big sofa, a big desk, and plenty of room in-between, so we never felt cramped at all. We didn’t have a balcony, but we did have a wall of windows overlooking Lake Travis. It even had a sliding door that we could open to get the fresh air and the sound of water lapping the shore below! NICE! The room was bigger than my first apartment I think!

The bed was comfortable and we both slept well. The tub/shower seemed a bit bigger than average, so that was nice to shower in. The water was always hot with awesome water pressure for the giant shower head. Great room all the way around!

    4. The pool area was fantastic! There are 2 pool areas on property. One is for the 21+ crowd, which is always nice when we are traveling sans toddler. It had a 3 tiered infinity pool. It also had a huge hot tub. Yay! The kid’s section had a big waterside and fun water spouts and the like to play in. The 2 sections were separated by a bar area, which usually had music playing to make it a fun atmosphere. There was also a small snack bar and towels available to the guests.

    5. There is also a spa on property. We didn’t have time to check it out, but it looked pretty when we walked past it and they offered a lot of different services.

The only real complaint we had was with check in. We arrived around 2pm after traveling all day from Nevada. Our room wasn’t ready, so the front desk person told us he would call when it was ready. Unfortunately it wasn’t ready until 4:30pm! We had actually left to go back into Austin since we had plans with friends that we couldn’t miss. Other than the late check in, I loved this place.

If you want to get away from the hustle bustle of life, check out Lakeway Resort and Spa!

Great hotel with a great staff from the moment you walk in. Me and 3 girlfriends met up and enjoyed a lake view room with balcony at a great price. My favorite spot was the heated pool and swim up bar. Room service was excellent with good food. If you’re looking for a resort where you can get away and still be close to Austin’s nightlife, this is the place to go!
